How to keep the squirrels from eating my fuel line is a major problem for me. I live in a wooded area.

This happened in December of 2024 for around $1127.79 then again in April 2025 for $1450.70. I have used pest spray, peppermint oil and now traps to stop this invasion of these Squirrels.

The danger was leaking gasoline as I was driving and parked in my driveway. Neighbors could smell the gasoline and concerned of the truck exploding if someone had lit a cigarette or a hot engine catching on fire.

This is a serious defect using a soy-based coating which attracts squirrels or mice or rats or any rodent. I believe this could be lawsuit waiting to happen or a class action case if someone is killed in a fire or explosion.

Third occurrence of rodents chewing wiring underneath hood due to the fact Ford uses soy based coating on their wiring harness. Retrieved DTC code of P0443 evap purge valve circuit open, and found purge valve pigtail connector chewed from rodents, so I replaced pig tail, and also found high pressure fuel line chewed. I removed and replaced fuel line.
