  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,292 miles

Shifting while decelerating can be very rough. Feel like its also pretty rough at lower rpm's.

F-150 Lariat 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 653 miles

Rough shifting & clunk noise. Not all the time but when engine starts makes a clunk noise. Doesn't happen all the time. Also erratic shifting and clunking in driver train again not always.

A new vehicle should not be doing this.

F-150 STX 2.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,000 miles

I purchased a new 2019 f-150 STX with a 2.7L ecoboost and the 10-speed transmission. I started noticing problems right out of the gate. The first week I had it the transmission was hesitating while shifting gears. The reverse would also hesitate before going into gear. I was on a trip up to Oregon the following week after I purchased it and the transmission felt real clunky and slammed into gear multiple times while downshifting at freeway speeds. At one point it downshifted so hard it felt like we ran over something.

I took it to the dealership that I purchased it from and had to wait 2 weeks for them to figure out what to fix (said it was a stuck valve). They said it was fixed but I am still having the same problems, jerking, clinking, hesitation when put into reverse. I'm taking the truck in to another dealer tomorrow (the dealer in Petaluma, CA had the worst customer service and I had to beg for a loaner car).

Several problems with this truck involving the drive train. Either lousy basic engineering or poor quality control.
