I was driving down the road at 70 mph and my 10R80 transmission rapidly downshifted to 1st gear. This is on top of the erratic shifting and driveline vibration from the CDF clutches which ford said tough luck on getting repaired/warrantied after they announced they fixed with a redesign, but also after being told "nothing is wrong" until after the warranty has gone out.

The engine has a bad rattle on every first start (or cold start). There are a ton of posts about this issue, and it sounds like it's a bad cam phaser that's prevalent on all F-150s built between 2017 and 2020. If there are so many trucks affected, then why isn't there a recall in place from Ford? It looks like Ford had some type of extended warranty issued through Jan 2023, but then that stopped. Here is more information on the issue: Ford is aware of the Cam Phaser problems and has issued a technical several bulletin to address the complaints and provide warranty repairs. According the Ford Cam Phaser Technical Service Bulletin Program 21N03 (TSB): -??In some of the affected vehicles, an undesirable noise may develop from the cam phasers in the 3.5L GTDI engine. This noise might occur as a rattle when starting the engine after the vehicle was turned off for an extended period of time or as a knocking noise when the engine is idling after it is warmed up-?? In addition, the Ford Cam Phaser TSB has established a program which extends the warranty coverage of the engine cam phasers until January 1, 2023.

There is a delay in shift engagement in our 2019 Ford F150. When we took it to our mechanic they gave us a code that showed up on the vehicle and said to take it to the dealer along with a packet to give to the dealer when we drop it off. The packet that they gave us includes 9 different ford models for multiple years that are having the same issue. The date of issue was found August 14, 2023. This is almost a year of having a known issue that can cause your transmission to stop working and ford has not issued a recall.

On my way home from work on 5/29 while driving on the freeway my 2019 Ford F150 with 79k miles on it began to shift weird and feel like the transmission was slipping. I got off on my exit and stopped at the stop light at which point my truck shuddered and shut off flashing an "Auto Stop/Start, put the vehicle in park and restart engine" warning. The light turned green and I restarted the engine and it shuddered and died again with the same warning. I restarted the engine and it seemed to work. I decided to drive the last 1 miler to my house. The next morning I took the truck to the Ford dealership. On my way the truck was hard downshifting, knocking, and then went into limp mode in the middle of an intersection. I pulled over and restarted the engine. I was able to get it into gear and drive to the dealership. On the way the truck downshifted from 6th gear to 1st gear on its own at 40mph. I was on the freeway when this happened. I was able to keep driving and the truck shifted into 10th gear. after a few seconds it then downshifted from 10th gear to 1st gear. I placed it in neutral to avoid getting rear ended or destroying the truck. I barely made it to the dealership. The dealership informed me 2 days later that the transmission was blown. They found chunks of metal in the transmission fluid and the following codes were displayed: P0767, P2535/P2703. No warning lights came on until the 10th to 1st downshift right before I made it to the dealership. This was a highly unsafe series of events that resulted in a destroyed transmission and a significant scare on my part while driving. Just blessed that no one rear ended me. The 10r80 transmissions have a TSB out on them but have no safety recall. This is not an anomaly. These same issues have been happening since 2019.

The component in question was the transmission. It will take a month to get a new transmission installed. It is available for inspection and I have documentation from the shop. I was traveling in the center lane on I5 in heavy rain when the truck began to shift hard. After a few hard shifts I lost consistency with applying the throttle. The throttle would not respond and the truck would not accelerate. The traffic behind me (it was 5pm rush hour) was honking and swerving around me including semis. I was attempting to get over as soon as possible but with the loss of consistent acceleration and hard shifting with quick loss of power made the safe exit off the freeway a dangerous situation. Not every car could see I was in the center lane with my flashers on due to the rain and semi behind me. So when I would attempt to get over traffic that was cutting around in the slow lane would go flying by me and some expressed frustrations. The truck was brought into a shop and the issue presented on their first drive. The codes that were thrown and the hard shifting with loss of power caused them to determine it was the transmission. The shop has experience this situation with the transmission a few times in the last month they explained. The also showed me the burnt transmission fluid a d all the TSBs associated with the issue. The first warning light did not present itself until I was taking the truck to the shop. A symbol of a wrench that I had never seen before. Dash board notified me to "see owners manual". The truck was left running upon delivery so the shop could see the warning.

I have had numerous issues with the transmission on this truck. The truck has been to dealerships ever since I bought it for transmission issues. New issue occurred this week while going 75mph and continually as I decreased speed down to 60mph. While driving at the high rate of speed the transmission would go from gear 10 straight to 1, causing the RPMs to spike and Redline once. This occurred 5 times during my drive within about 15 minutes until I was able to stop and leave the truck. No leaks of any transmission fluid was found and truck has had all of its annual inspections and work done according to Ford maintenance timelines and all work on truck has been done at Ford dealerships. I have complained to many dealerships about my transmission. One of the times the gear shifted to from 10 to 1 for a few seconds and then straight back to 10 after the RPMs spiking was recorded on video.

The transmission ten gear automatic. Won't go into fourth gear at at all keeps jumping when. Trying to go into first second and third then jumps four. Also on highway it will shut off all together or will start speeding up very dangerous. On side streets it's dies out even more unexpectedly trying to short gears. Already had it in once for problem with the front differential didn't switch gears and never got receipt and think did something to hubs like four thousand dollar fix. Now I serviced it for.seats they took it on took week to get part in and right tool to fix truck seat it stood with them a week before I called to see what deal.was I've seen problems with this ten gear transmission already and this will be second time trying to fix these trucks are junk. First problem I had the lights would go out in middle of the night while driving. Then lights Wont go off stay on killing battery already in second battery but to fix the transmission problem u half to use speed control just to keep it from shutting off or accelerated of speed. But with this being second time they better fix it if they don't they don't follow the extended warra.ty and want a payout for the full worth of the truck. It's aife threatening thing with this transmission. Plus had already like ten other recalls onnoy already it's a new truck I wouldn't buy one.

Wrench light came on. Skipped shifts and over revs. Truck has been at Ford service for a month. Parts ordered. Tore into and ordered more parts. Truck has 69,000 miles so it is 9,000 miles outside of powertrain warranty. Estimated repair cost is $4,800. FORD customer service offered nothing beside we're sorry. Truck has not shifted right since day one. Ford did a transmission reprogram flash at about 10,000 which helped a little. Cross lane traffic turns had to be planned and timed in case the transmission decided to think about shifting gears while coasting.

Gears are slipping and fluttering between gears 3, 4, & 5. Research leads me to a TSB-2250 released by Ford in 8/2023, and it has caused me to lose speed/control when accelerating through traffic intersections and getting up to speed on the high way.

Transmission slips and shifts erratic. Sometimes it hesitates and lacks power. It's dangerous due to being unpredictable in operation. Vehicle has been in dealership and "found to be normal." I was blown off. It has always shifted jerking and shifting erratic. They said "nothing could be done about it and this is the way it is.. " Now I find out there is a service bulletin that addresses the issue but Ford will NOT FIX IT because I am 3 DAYS OUT OF WARRANTY. Still in mileage at 44k. This is a safety issue and a recall should be issued due to the massive number affected drivers and Ford's absolute unwillingness to own their defect!
