I own a 2019 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost with approximately 117,000 miles. Like many others, I am experiencing the widely reported cold start cam phaser rattle, which grows louder with colder temperatures. This is a known issue addressed by Ford in TSB 19-2365, yet no recall has been issued. I believe this defect poses long-term reliability concerns and could eventually lead to engine damage. Ford should be held responsible for a widespread design flaw affecting thousands of vehicles. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this recurring issue and hold Ford accountable for consumer safety and financial impact.

My 2019 F150 started having a loud rattling noise coming from the motor. I took my truck to the Sam Galloway Ford dealership and it was determined that the cam phasers needed to be replaced however they would not cover this cost since my VIN was not listed on the recall sheet. My vehicle was manufactured in Kansas during the time period and has the 3.5 liter motor and according to the recall letter my vehicle should be included in this recall. Cam phasers - this is a known issue on the 3.5L ecoboost motors, yet Ford will not stand behind their product. They have paid for some people to have it repaired, and not others. This is about a $4,000 fix at the dealership, again for an issue they knew about years ago. They tried to claim changing the timing with the ECM module would stop it from happening, but as I discovered this weekend it didn't My vehicles ECM was swapped in 2021 and here I am a few years later with the same issue. Ford needs to be called out as they knowingly pushed out subpar engine products to make more money.

CAM PHASERS!!!! I have a 2019 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine which started having cam phaser issues. On cold starts, the engine makes a loud rattling noise for several seconds, and during idle a ticking noise is heard as well. At times the engine runs roughly and loses power briefly when i-??m driving it. I-??m very concerned because it happened to me while merging into a highway the truck cut power down and I almost caused an accident for not getting up to speed properly, additionally this could lead to the car shutting off on me, or other dangerous situations on the road, other than the long wear and tear that these bad cam phasers have on the engine. I-??ve learned that this issue is known to Ford and has been happening for many years, and was addressed for other owners through Customer Satisfaction Programs like the 21N03 and its various supplements, to my knowledge the last one being held in 2022, but my truck is not covered at this time even though it-??s a 2019 and has under 70,000 miles. I believe this issue should be investigated further as it is a safety risk to drivers, passengers, and all other vehicles on the road, and Ford should be held accountable, as this issue has been seen around their 3.5 Ecoboost engines and has yet to be fixed. It seems like it-??s an ongoing profitable business for them to keep customers paying out of pocket for this $4,000+ job knowing that it-??s an issue that many owners have, which is beyond ridiculous on their end. If it-??s possible for you guys to take a look at any of their social media platforms, most of the comments on their posts, even if they have nothing to do with this engine, are complaints about not having a Recall for cam phasers on the 3.5 Ecoboost engine. Ford needs to be held accountable for this issue and give more importance to the safety of their customers instead of their parts/service profits!!!!!!

I purchased a 2019 F150 through Imperial Chevy in Mendon, MA in 2022. Technical Service Bulletin 19-2365 had been issued on 05 December 2019 and the dealer did not disclose or address the issue prior to sale. The truck has had regular oil changes every year and then check engine light came on - Code P0630 Camshaft Position Sensor B circuit. Ford service diagnosed scoring in the cylinders and verified that it has the excessive oil consumption issue. Solution is total engine replacement. Ford corporate has so far denied the claim and refused to offer financing for $12,000+ repair. Having approved many other claims for the same issue, they are now requiring Ford service to do a teardown before considering whether to pay for this known issue. This truck currently isn't be driven more than a few miles a day to and from work. We bought this truck to haul a full size two horse trailer which we haven't done as we are afraid to further tax the transmission and/or run the truck out of oil inadvertently since the oil gauge does not give warning that the oil is low - instead the truck throws a P0390 code. Ford must be held responsible for paying for repair. I can provide extensive paperwork if necessary. This is a known issue that Ford is refusing to remedy and any F150 experiencing this issue must be recalled immediately.

Had oil change 7 times in one year and each time they indicate at the place I get oil changed that it is a quart or more low before 3,000 miles of usage after oil change. My car is suppose to take unleaded gas or higher and it knocks if I use unloaded. Now my catalytic converter is going out and it is not covered under warranty unless it is consequential to other problems. Well there appears to be engine problems that are not being addressed and I have a warranty and have taken it in. But they do not look any deeper into the problem except for computer scan and the warranty people won-??t give me any answers on what they will do if there is engine problems.

Driving highway speed (70mph) and vehicle suddenly drops speed to (25mph) and running at 5000rpm and loses all forward drive speed while pressing on the gas pedal. Pulled over and turned off truck and tried to restart it and it took over 15 seconds for the power start to start the engine after pushing the start button, still had no power to accelerate after placing it in drive. My Ford App sends an alert code reading Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power. Towed to dealership to get looked at under purchase warranty agreement. This could have caused a major accident if there would have been more traffic on the highway at the time causing major injuries and/or death, this needs to be investigated what is causing this issue. There are a lot of forums on the internet for 2019-2023 F150 having this same issue reporting/regarding -??Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power-??, don-??t know if anyone else has had it happen while driving at highway speeds or not though haven-??t looked through everyone of them.
