Driving highway speed (70mph) and vehicle suddenly drops speed to (25mph) and running at 5000rpm and loses all forward drive speed while pressing on the gas pedal. Pulled over and turned off truck and tried to restart it and it took over 15 seconds for the power start to start the engine after pushing the start button, still had no power to accelerate after placing it in drive. My Ford App sends an alert code reading Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power. Towed to dealership to get looked at under purchase warranty agreement. This could have caused a major accident if there would have been more traffic on the highway at the time causing major injuries and/or death, this needs to be investigated what is causing this issue. There are a lot of forums on the internet for 2019-2023 F150 having this same issue reporting/regarding -??Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power-??, don-??t know if anyone else has had it happen while driving at highway speeds or not though haven-??t looked through everyone of them.

The truck would just shut off while driving or not start whenever you need it to. It acts like a dead battery but the battery is fine. It has been at the dealership for 45 days plus straight for this issue. When it cuts out, we lose all steering all breaking all power. I-??m very lucky it hasn-??t taken my life or one of my family members lives. There are some innocent person on the road because of The lack of quality and workmanship. In my opinion the truck needs to be recalled because it-??s been nothing but a hassle for us.

Cam Phasers were recalled on some 2019 Ford F150 3.5 Ecoboost motor. Ours is having the same issues as others that were recalled but we were never notified of the recall and it doesn't show up for our VIN. Why would it not be on all 2019 Ford F150 3.5 EcoBoost motor?

Vehicle has just 70,000 on it. Engine light came on after the vehicle was rattling at the engine start and running rough at idle and had power issues when driven. The vehicle was taken to the dealership where it was diagnosed that the timing chain needed to be replaced and probably the cam phasers. Over $5,200 + in repair costs. Vehicle was taken to an independent service location for repair where the issues were confirmed.

My 2019 F-150, which has less than 60,000 miles, has a bent valve in the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. Bent valves are a known issue for this model engine that has led to a recall for similar engines. Despite being outside the 5-year warranty period, my vehicle is within the mileage limit that Ford sets as a marker for major issues. After contacting Ford Care to request they cover the cost of this premature failure, I waited for over a month to receive their offer. It was for about $4400 of a $10,000+ cost. The partial coverage offered is not sufficient given the circumstances. It's important for Ford to stand by its products and support customers facing problems due to manufacturing defects. Especially with engine models, like mine, that have had so many issues that the company no longer makes or uses that engine model. A recap: -?? The service advisor at Rick Ridings (my Ford service dealership in Monticello, IL) acknowledges that a vehicle with such low mileage should not have a bent valve and require such extensive, premature repairs. -?? I-??ve found years of reports from other Ford owners in online forums talking about valve issues with this model engine. Early failures of the 2.7L EcoBoost engines were traced to fractured intake valves that caused significant engine damage. -?? Ford had a massive recall on EcoBoost 2.7L engines from 2021 to 2022 where the issues were with intake valves made from a material not being up to spec. -?? Today, Ford no longer uses this engine -?" a decision I'd guess was driven in part by the engine-??s history of failure. -?? Overall, it-??s a clear pattern of defects with the valves in the 2.7L EcoBoost engine. I simply want Ford to stand by the customers that buy their products when there appears to be evidence of a manufacturing defect that caused the issue at hand. All I want is the cost of the repair or replacement covered.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at 50 MPH on a country road, the transmission failed to shift as needed. The transmission shifted into the fourth gear, then to the eighth gear. The shifter became stuck in fourth gear. The vehicle jerked and hesitated and shifted into neutral without driver input. The message to see the Owner-??s Manual light was illuminated but turned on and off. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that it was a characteristic of the transmission and not a failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. While driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle stopped. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. Additionally, there were metal shavings in the clutch fluid. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000. The VIN was not available.

I have a 2019 f-150 Platinum. Bought it 4 months ago and I've put about 9,000 miles on it and the transmission is going out from what the dealer told me. I bought it from the same dealer that told me what's wrong with it. It shuts off in the middle of changing gears while driving down the road. It's happened 4 times. It's very unsafe. The service department at the dealership said something's going on with the admissions that could cuase it to vaper-lock shut down. They estimated the job to cost eight thousand dollars, which I don't have. It had139,000 when I bought it frome them
