The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, there was a rattling and knocking sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that engine cam phaser started but was not fired up and the contact was able to drive the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.

The contact stated that there was an abnormal sound that was intermittent but became a constant failure. The contact drove the vehicle back to the same dealer who determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was advised by the dealer that the engine was on a national backorder. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 85,451.

The mechanic informed the contact that cylinder #5 valve was missing. The contact was informed that the vehicle had experienced a catastrophic engine failure, and that the intake valve was incinerated. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer informed the contact to Trade-In the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and filed a claim, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 71,105.

The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that the vehicle was not included. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
