My vehicle has been sitting at the dealership for over a month, diagnosed with a faulty valve (same issue that is in the broncos) Seal - Valve - Ford (KL3Z-9U465-A) Something needs to be done about this - Ford has offered me no loaner or rental vehicle AND I am still paying car payments while it is sitting up there at Ford! I was driving down the interstate, traveling around 70MPH and my check engine light came on as well as a notification to my phone. The phone notification from the Ford Pass app read: POWERTRAIN MALFUNCTION / REDUCED POWER What is Happening": Illuminates when the system has detected a powertrain or a four-wheel drive fault. What should I do": A powertrain or all wheel drive/four wheel drive fault has been detected. Contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible. The vehicle wasn't responding to me pushing down on the accelerator, as if the engine had just stopped working. I bought this truck new in October of 2021 - it is a 2021 F-150 and currently has only 9,500 miles on the odometer. As soon as this happened, I thought back to an article I saw recently about the Ford Broncos failing.. connecting the dots, the same engine that is failing in the new Broncos, the 2nd generation 2.7L V6 is the same engine in my 2021 F-150. It has not been diagnosed as of this moment, it will be diagnosed tomorrow; however, I am afraid this case is the same as the others reporting issues with the 2nd generation Ford 2.7L V6 - I may need a new motor!

Axel bolt sheared off for rear drivers Axel. Only part holding tire on was break rotor and caliper. The dealer found during a routine oil change/tire rotation. The only symptoms was shifting hard when driving, and slight rattle when driving as the bolt head was caught in the wheel center.

The Check Engine Light illuminated and brought to Ford dealer. Was advised it has code P237C which is a failed Exhaust Heat Exchanger, dealer ordered part # ML3Z5A212W. There is no coolant leak visible from the failed part. But driving down the highway around 70mph, the vehicle suddenly decelerates and goes into Reduced Power Mode, throttling back the engine. The reduced power mode is displayed on the instrument cluster, but it is still startling to have the vehicle decelerate, especially at highway speeds in traffic. And would be more problematic with a trailer in tow. My Ford dealer has the part on order but Ford states it is on back order with no expected delivery date. Very disappointing from a quality stand point, but a concern as well from a safety perspective. I know others have had a similar issue which is also accompanied by a coolant leak, which I do not have on my vehicle but I am concerned and continue to monitor for leaks and watch the fluid level. I do not have any photos of the valve. Unexpected reduction of engine power in my opinion is a safety issue, especially at highway speeds or when towing. Thank you for your review of this issue.

They have had this recall since Dec 16th and I have taken the truck and called the dealer several times and they said that Ford has not remedied this recall yet. It is a huge issue and they aren't doing anything about it, several online forms have cited this exact problem with their truck yet Ford is not fixing it.

My brand new F150 2021 had a powertrain malfunction with power totally reduced. I had no ability to accelerate. I had to glide over to the side of the road. I restarted the car. It reset, i went to accelerate and again i had an error code and my car froze. I was able to restart again and drive over to my Ford dealership i purchased it from at 15 miles per hour. The problem was reproduced once and confirmed by the dealer. The dealer has contacted Ford and was told they have never seen that error code for a F150. The GM of Ford here in Montana told me if they cant reproduce the problem again, i can have the truck back. This truck is 3 weeks old. I am terrified.

Fails to accelerate when switching from electric power to gas power. This happens when pulling out of a parking lot onto a Houston, Tx feeder street after the truck has set for awhile and on electric power when started and medium to full power is used to merge into traffic. The switch over from appears to work but shows no turbo boost causing a lack of power to merge safely and this only happens after first start the rest of the day truck operates normally or until it is shut off again for awhile making this truck a accident waiting to happen. Yes the service manager witnessed this so left truck to be repaired but since no engine check lights or codes he had to call ford without knowing all the answers from one little short ride they came back with a answer that was unacceptable blaming it on a clutch operation that was normal. If so why does it happen only after new start and corrects itself?

On June 23rd while driving my 2021 XL SuperCrew with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, the engine quit while I was driving about 30mph. I pushed the accelerator slightly intending to accelerate to 35mph and when the truck downshifted, the engine stalled, and I think the transmission tried to move to park. I got a notification of parking brake error on the dash and started hearing a ticking/clicking noise while still rolling, now down a hill. I moved the column shifter to neutral and it didn't do anything to stop the ticking. I pulled onto the shoulder and slowed down and, and as I neared stopping, the truck finished shifting into park and it jolted to a stop. I then saw a bunch of other errors like engine coolant too hot, stability control disabled, and forward collision warning disabled. There may have been others but I don't recall. The tachometer was frozen showing roughly 2000 rpm until I turned the key to off. Then the dash said to be careful exiting because the parking brake wasn't on. After turning the key to off, I restarted it, the lights on the dash cleared, and I was able to shift to drive, and make it home 3 min later. There are no lights on the dash, so I'm hoping this can still diagnosed at this point. The truck has 793 miles on it as it sits now. The soonest service appointment I have been able to make is for July 8th, but the dealer won't guarantee that it will be seen then.
