Frequent error codes that were the result of low battery voltage. Left truck with dealer and they found that the original factory battery had failed and would not hold a charge. New battery installed on January 4, 2023.
A year later in 2024 experienced a failure of the battery. It showed a SOC of only 4% and I used a battery charger to get it to 93% SOC. The following morning the SOC was only 44% so battery not holding a charge for a single day.

Truck would not start as the battery could not provide sufficient voltage for the electronics. Needed to have the truck jump started each time. Second visit to a Ford dealer resulted in correct diagnosis of the problem and the replacement of the factory battery.

The Ford vehicles drain the battery overnight and in so doing the starter type battery is damage and its life greatly shortened. I replaced the battery 4 times with this truck in a 36 month period. After the fourth battery was installed I drove the truck to a Chevy dealer and traded it in for a new Chevy pickup.
Multiple trips to the Ford dealers and hours researching the problem to no avail. It is a common problem with Ford vehicles that can have a parasitic drain at night and leave the battery with too low a SOC to start the engine.
This problem is found on hundreds of posts on Ford forums but never on Ram, Chevy, or Toyota truck forums.
