You should be able to buy an 2022 F-150 with a 5.0L V8 engine that works past 20,000 miles.
When I had my first oil change at the dealer supported facility, the invoice notes read: "Recommend Dealer Service. Tech noted odd smell when draining oil. Oil contained pieces of metal coming from drained oil".
When I called the dealer, they said bring it in at the next scheduled oil change and we will take a look. At the second oil change there was no odd odor and no metal shavings. They decided to complete a diagnostics after the oil change and after getting everything ready, they turned on the engine and IT FAILED IN THE DEALERS SERVICE CENTER.
They replaced the engine and paid my rental car (minus the insurance). I think I'll take a financial hit when I sell my truck. They would not agree to replace my vehicle.
THIS TRUCK WAS DELIVERED WITH AN ENGINE DEFECT. DON'T BUY A FORD TRUCK. IT'S NOT WORTH THE RISK.
