problem #2

F-150 LX 2.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 5,500 miles

This truck has the 10-speed trans that Ford knows it is not reliable. It slips gears; downshifts hard in the lower gears. Takes off like I have the emergency brake on. Very sluggish at times. My whole family are Ford family workers and buy Ford. But after this truck I am done with Ford. Piece of crap trans. My last Mustang was even worse. How they fixed it and was very much better is put a new valve body inside the trans and reset the computer. Was a huge change. But they don't listen to the regular consumer when I complained and told them to do this. It even slipped gears as I was in an intersection and almost didn't get out of on coming traffic. That would have been a easy lawsuit. Fix the damn transmissions. Will not buy another Ford.
