Stereo/Infotainment system loud bang followed by increasingly loud static through the speakers. Occured 20 or so seconds after starting the truck and driving down the road. Happened around 2800 miles and has only happened once. Initial bang was startling and the static noise was distracting which could have caused an accident. Volume button non functional. Stopping and shutting vehicle completely off and on momentarily did nothing. After letting the truck sit off and locked for 5min+ the sound finally stopped and everything returned to normal. There was a distinct burning smell left in the truck for the rest of the day. Ears were left ringing for a couple hours after. Possible ear damage from this. Luckily there wasn't anyone else in the vehicle that could have suffered from ear damage. Dealer is aware of the issue but hasn't looked at the truck as duplicating the issue is near impossible. No warning lamps or anything visually different from normal. I have video of the static noises.

The speakers in the car all "pop" and a high static/whine pitch plays out of all speakers. It does not stop unless you turn off the car and open a door to completely turn off the car. I have videos to document the noise.

January 2, 2023 Ford Motor Company Product Claims Department 1-800-392-3673 P.O. Box 70 Dearborn, Michigan 48121 Vehicle VIN #1FTFW1ED5NFB14199 New 2022 Ford F-150 Dear Claims Department/Legal Department, On December 22, 2022 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Driver of vehicle was leaving the office to go home and as he entered the vehicle and sat in driver seat to turn the vehicle on the engine fired on and at that very moment a LOUD POP explosion sounded throughout the vehicle cabin. In the short duration to his home the vehicle had a static electrical sound amplifying through the vehicles speakers while the truck was on as well as when the vehicle was in the parked off position. I immediately phoned my fleet manager at Colley Ford in Glendora California and via telephone he acknowledged the vehicles state of trouble and notified me to have the vehicle inspected immediately for findings. Rather than pay for towing, GQ Landscape care decided to take said vehicle to the nearest Ford location from the office which is approximately 3.5 miles. The employee drove the vehicle with the windows unrolled as this noise being emitted was making him physically ill, headache and earache. Upon his arrival to Chino Hills Ford the service advisor Maria Ochoa documented the vehicles condition and also brought her service manager -??Tom-?? out for inspection as neither one of them have had a vehicle thus far making such a horrible noise, they both acknowledged and recognized that this was not a normal noise. At this point practically half of their maintenance team came out and wanted to see what vehicle was making such noise. That night and for 3 more days following original incident my employees head and ears have suffered extreme headache and earache. As of December 27, 2022 Chino Hills Ford has recognized and diagnosed the culprit issue to be the Amplifier. Please see attached. I have asked for a Rental vehicle due to the fact that this vehicle has put my employees nuerological healt

While driving, a loud static sound started over the speakers and would not stop. It was so loud I could not continue driving and I immediately developed a headache. Even after I pulled over, turned off the truck and left for about minute it still continued. I eventually let it sit for about 20 minutes and when i came back the sound had stopped and works normally now. Car reeks of a burning plastic smell. My apple watch recorded a 109dB spike. I posted a video of the sound at https://youtube.com/shorts/XMFUDQA70Ms?feature=share

At times when starting vehicle or when driving the sound system makes a tremendously loud gunshot noise and then full volume static from all of the speakers. Only goes away after disconnecting battery or pulling fuse 28. This scares the crap out of you and could easily cause an accident. Ford dealers have no fix from Ford and per the internet I have found that many many other F150 and Raptor owners are having this same issue. This needs to be addressed by Ford ASAP before a tragedy occurs. It is that loud and frightening!

I get into the truck and push the start button, a very loud explosive ear piercing sound comes out of every speaker at full volume. It sounded like a canon shot out all my windows, a huge POP sound followed by scratching crackling sounds coming from the speakers. I tried turning down the volume to no avail, I turned off the audio but the loud scratching sound kept going at a very loud volume. The scratching sound went on for about 2 minutes then shut off. My ears were ringing and I was in a lot of ear pain due to the loud POP noise, it felt like my ear drums were blown out. I could hardly hear after this incident, I think I my have hearing loss from this loud noise. No one has inspected the vehicle, they say they want me to bring them the car when the problem happens again. I did not see any warning lamps or messages before or after the incedent

I started my truck up this afternoon and heard a deafening boom and then loud crackling. At first I thought something fell on my roof and the glass was breaking. After getting out and looking around I realized the noises were coming from the speakers and under the back seat, amp area. The crackling went on for about 5 minutes and didn't stop by shutting the radio off or shutting the truck off. This seems like a very terrible safety issue.

I turned on the truck and heard a loud crack followed by load static originating from the front passenger area. This was from the stereo speakers. My right ear endured a lasting and substantial amount of pain. I will estimate, based on measurements of SPL I've made as an engineer, that the crack was approximately 120dB.

Upon starting the vehicle an extremely loud and disorienting static popping noise started to come from every speaker in the vehicle at seemingly full volume with no way to make it stop or turn the volume down. Many attempts were made to get the sound to stop including turning the vehicle and entertainment system off, but the sound could not be stopped. I was forced to take a different vehicle and when I returned the sound had stopped. The dealership claims that nothing can be done because it is not currently producing the sound. I fear for my pregnant wife, and in the future, my childs hearing. I have a video I took during the event with the intention of showing the dealer, as well as a home security camera video if needed.

At startup the stereo system (my truck has the B&O unleashed option) made a very loud electrical static and buzzing sound. This came from every speaker at max volume. Attempts to make the noise stop were unsuccessful, including trying to select multiple audio inputs and turning down the volume. It just kept blasting the static and loud popping noises at max volume. There was no way to make the sound stop without removing the sound system fuse under the hood. It was physically painful to both me and my passenger, and left our ears ringing for days. The dealership does not acknowledge that anything is wrong. Online forums show that this is a reoccurring problem, with dozens of individuals posting The same complaint. Ford has not acknowledged its existence, but this is a safety hazard as it can cause serious hearing damage.

There was a sonic boom explosion of noise from the radio / speakers followed by very loud static. I would estimate the db level to be 150 plus. Left my ears ringing for hours followed by aching and there has to be some permanent damage. I had driven the truck for 45 minutes. Using radio on about level 5 when I parked turned the vehicle off and exited. After a 90 minute appointment I reentered the pickup and when I pressed start the explosion of noise happened. The level was so intense and loud I was temporarily disoriented and confused. I did not know if there was a nearby explosion, if my windows were shattered, if I was ok. Probably was only a few seconds and the static as persistent. Loud and I could not get it to stop. I did everything I could to lower or turn the volume down or off. Nothing worked. I was in a parking garage unbuckled and when I got over the speed to initiate the fasten seatbelt warning tones, those tones beginning stopped the static. I continued my trip and have not had another occurrence.

This has happened twice to me. The latest was about 7 days ago. There was a loud popping and static sound when driving my vehicle so loud that I had to exit the truck and my neighbors came and asked if I was ok because it was so loud. I couldn't get it to stop by shutting things off. Talked to my sales guy and he suggested I disconnect the negative cable to the battery for 30 min or more, but there needs to be some sort of fix for this as it is a larger issue. It is undriveable when it happens and I likely would have crashed if I was on the highway. Ford is very slow with any response and the dealership can't do anything until they issue a TSB.

After starting the vehicle, I heard a loud pop and then loud static that couldn't be turned off. The sound is very deafening and hazardous to babies with developing ears. Has happened twice already in the past week.
