The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at approximately 35 MPH the vehicle independently braked. The contact lost control of the vehicle and due to road conditions the vehicle jumped the curb. The contact stated that he was not aware of any warning lights. The contact stated that the front passenger tire crashed into the curb and blew out. The contact stated that the vehicle hit a traffic sign and then a fence. The contact stated that the passenger front door had scrapes and marks. The side view mirror on the passenger side was sheared off by the traffic sign. The contact stated that the police and EMS arrived. The contact stated that no air bags had been deployed. The contact stated his daughter was seated in the passenger front seat and had abrasions and bruising on her neck, right shoulder, and chest from the seat belt. The contact stated that he also had bruising on his neck and left shoulder from the seat belt. The contact stated that both he and his daughter had neck and back pain and were both transported by ambulance to the hospital. The contact stated that the police issued him a citation for "careless driving" but no report was issued. The vehicle was towed to a collision repair shop. The contact stated that he had received a recall notification from the manufacturer for NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V509000 (Parking Brake), however, the crash had occurred before him receiving the recall letter. The vehicle was still at the collision repair when he received the notification. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V509000 (Parking Brake) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while reversing at approximately 3 MPH, the vehicle was braking and stopped independently. The contact stated he placed the vehicle in park(P) and turned off and restarted the vehicle and was able to continue reversing. The contact shifted into drive(D) with no failures. The contact stated that the braking failure was intermittent but had started to occur while in drive(D). The contact had the work completed prior to receiving the recall letter from the manufacturer for NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V509000 (Parking Brake) and related the failure to the campaign. The contact drove to a dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the rear brake pads and calipers needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

Additionally, the contact stated that the "Front Camera Fault" and "Trailer Detached" messages intermittently appeared on the instrument panel. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact stated that he had placed the vehicle into park, engaged the parking brake, and removed the key from the ignition as he went to unload a trailer attached to the vehicle. While the contact was removing a tractor from a trailer, the vehicle independently rolled forward without warning. As the vehicle continued to roll forward, the vehicle jackknifed to the left which brought the vehicle to a stop. The failure bent both the trailer hitch and the trailer frame. Despite the failure, the vehicle resumed normal operation and the contact was able to drive the vehicle to the dealer for an inspection. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired or diagnosed. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
