The PDWS is annoying, and the fact it is mandated is beyond stupid. EV's should be quiet, and this thing makes the most annoying beeps in reverse, with even more obnoxious sounds moving forward. Please rethink this requirement for automotive manufactures as it is useless. The tires make a noise when rolling even at low speeds on all vehicles which should be warning enough. Majority of the vehicles in my subdivision you cannot hear until they are a foot away with an internal combustion engines when moving slow. If you get them going at 10 -?" 15 mph the tires are quite loud.

When I took my truck into the dealership to have an oil change and tire rotation done the dealership found that the bolt that holds the hub onto the rear axle had broken so there was nothing holding the hub onto the axle and that the hub and tire could of come off the axle while driving. The dealership said that they had been seeing this issue on other truck

When I pushed the start button on my 900 mile F150 limited that I only had 6 months, I heard a very very loud noise that sounded like a bomb going off in the truck. After I gathered myself and verified nobody damaged my truck or windows and with my ears still ringing, I heard very loud static noise coming from all the speakers. I thought the loud noise that came through the speakers actually blew them out. I turned off the radio, but the speakers were still making loud static noises. I then tried to turn on am station, and the radio worked fine. If this would of happened while I was driving, I probably would of had an accident.

Tonight when I started my truck there was a loud pop sound that came from the sound system. The stereo then had no volume with any source. I shut down the vehicle and restarted it. As soon as it turned on again, the sound system had incredibly loud static coming from every speaker. My ears were ringing and when I screamed to my eight year old to get out of the truck, she could not hear me. I tried to turn the truck on and off multiple times and I eventually had to abandon it and take my wife-??s car. I have a video that shows my truck was turned off and the sound system would not stop making the awful noise. I just can-??t attach it to this report.

On Friday, December 9th 2022 I started my truck via pressing the push start button in the truck. The vehicle started and went through its normal start up procedures. However - once the Sync 4 infotainment screen began to come to life an extremely loud Pop - followed by a max volume static played for a few seconds. I was extremely confused and immediately attempted to turn the volume down using the volume control but it had no effect. At first - the pop was so loud I thought the noise was my window shattering but realized it was my stereo after the static began. Their was no active audio playing when this event occurred and after the static subsided, my speakers were unable to play any sounds until I turned the vehicle off overnight. My ears are still ringing from this event 2 days later - this is a massive safety hazard and one that seems to be getting no attention from Ford.

On the morning of 12/7/2022 I got in the truck and turned it on. All the speakers made a super loud pop/bomb/gun going off sound. Then all the speakers were making a super loud crackling sound. Had no control over the audio volume, ect. Turned it the truck off and back on, still nothing but the crackling sound. 12-?? screen and digital dash were acting weird also (delayed coming on and not synced when powering on). After several minutes started the crackling stopped and it started playing music from my carplay. Kids said they smelt a burning smell. On 12/9/2022 it happened again. Got in and before I even started it it made a loud bomb going off sound when the digital dash and 12-?? screen was starting up. Then it was fine.

Wile driving my vehicle after a rain storm (it was not currently raining) water started to drip from the speaker above the driver. The ceiling from the middle of the driver door to the center of the windshield was soaking wet. While the vehicle does have a sunroof it is never used. I checked for blocked drain ports and they are not blocked. There would be no reason for them to be blocked on a new vehicle that never opens the sunroof. I have been unable to get a dealership to schedule service to inspect for if the drain tubes are connected or not, or for any other issues that would lead to the leak. The only immediate safety issue was the distraction caused by water dripping on me while I was driving. The longer term safety concern is mold and water potentially affecting the numerous electronics for hands free driving, emergency braking, lane departure, etc. The headliner was wet all the way to the center of the windshield in the area where some of the emergency braking and lane departure electronics are.

Extremely ear piercing loud noise like an explosion coming from radio when vehicle was started. Glad I was not driving as it startled me. This could of caused a major safety issue. From an operational standpoint no volume from the radio until I started the vehicle the next morning. I researched the event and found other owners affected by the same or similar issue. This is why I'm on this site reporting my same experience.

I have the B&O Unleashed sound system, I started the truck up and a very loud noise came from all the speakers. Scared the heck out of me. If I was driving done the road when this happened who knows what could have happened?

On October 4, 2022 at ~1:30 p.m. EDT I was stopped at a red light when an extremely loud pop and deafening noise "exploded" in the truck cabin. If I had been driving at the time, the sudden and extreme noise could have caused me to react in a way to lose control of the vehicle. After the light changed, I turned into a business entrance, turned the vehicle off, got out of the vehicle, locked the door, and the noise still continued for several seconds. After the noise stopped, I got back in the vehicle, restarted it, and the noise returned. The noise sounds like it is coming from the sound system at more than full volume. I estimate the sound level at well over 100 dB. Trying to turn off the sound system had no effect on the problem. I had to drive my truck for at least 20 minutes to get home with the deafening noise continuing unabated for the entire trip. After about 10 minutes into the trip, I also detected an "electrical burn" smell in the cabin. The smell was strong enough that I looked around the cabin for smoke, but I did not see any. Something has definitely overheated. Two hours after the incident my ears are still ringing, and I have a severe headache. I am a retired Licensed Professional Engineer with over 50 years of Engineering and Safety experience. I did not notice any warning lamps or messages. The vehicle seemed to operate normally, except the air conditioning system seemed to be operating at reduced capacity. This issue has been reported by at least 50 members on the "f150gen14.com" forum.

B&O Unleashed Stereo system will produce deafening sound, volume maxed out. The sound is a screeching pulsing sound. It makes your ears ring it is so loud. When you turn the vehicle off it still makes the sound. Turning any of the radio dials does not lower the volume or get it to shut off. You have to get out of your vehicle and wait for the stereo to shut off, can be up to 10 minutes for that to happen. There is no way to drive with it make that noise. You have to pull over and wait for it to stop. This has happened twice in my 6 months of ownership, dealer say the typical, "Can't reproduce it".

When I got into my truck and pressed the start button, there was an extremely loud popping noise that appeared to be coming from the sound system. It was so loud that it caused ringing in my ears. I immediately attempted to shut off the truck, but the noise continued. I opened the door to exit the vehicle, and the loudest noises stopped, but a static sound remained. I got out, shut the door, and locked and unlocked the vehicle several times before the noises stopped. It has now happened to me on two separate occasions. Rear speakers now sound like they're blown and have a terrible rattle. I contacted my dealer, Bluebonnet Forn in New Braunfels Texas, and was told that there have been numerous reports of this type o event but they have no idea what s causing it and it'll take them 4-5 days before they can even look at my truck.

This has happened twice to me. The latest was about 7 days ago. There was a loud popping and static sound when driving my vehicle so loud that I had to exit the truck and my neighbors came and asked if I was ok because it was so loud. I couldn't get it to stop by shutting things off. Talked to my sales guy and he suggested I disconnect the negative cable to the battery for 30 min or more, but there needs to be some sort of fix for this as it is a larger issue. It is undriveable when it happens and I likely would have crashed if I was on the highway. Ford is very slow with any response and the dealership can't do anything until they issue a TSB.

The contact owns a 2022 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH and attempting to overtake another vehicle, the vehicle excessively accelerated. The contact pumped the brake pedal several times to slow the vehicle. The contact pulled over and turned off and restarted the vehicle and drove safely to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,200.

Rear passenger door latch failed and actually flew open in the middle of intersection while door was locked! Entered intersection from a full stop. Shut door repeatedly when we entered the truck. Seemed to have trouble shutting completely. Needed a couple tries get closed. Thankfully my kids had their seatbelts on! I have never heard of this kind of thing happening with today-??s safety standards.
