The contact owns a 2023 Ford F-150. The contact stated that due to the Battery Management System (BMS), the vehicle failed to properly charge due to the short distances driven. Due to the cold climate and low usage, the vehicle entered Deep Sleep Mode, leading to the vehicle failing to start. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a battery test was performed, and it was determined that the battery was in good condition. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the contact was referred to the dealer. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

While not a safety issue, i would like to lodge a complaint against Ford for not including my vehicle's VIN on a NHTSA published recall that it should be eligible for. For 22G06, my 2023 Ford F-150 had the heated steering wheel removed due to the chip shortages. Ford is refusing to either fix or explain why my vehicle is not eligible, even though it meets the "Affected Vehicles" requirements on the document at the below link. I continually get remote features disabled to preserve battery. Have taken it in to dealer, they can't find anything. I am told to drive truck for forty minutes or so. This doesn't help because in a couple of days it goes back to the warning., It offers updates for the software for the ford pass app It will never download. It says an error has occurred I didn't pay over $70000 for this truck to have to take it for a forty minute drive every couple of days to keep the battery charged If t can not be repaired, I would like a refund of my money and you take your truck back. This incident occurs every three or four days..

Right rear taillight lens has water ingression. The dealer states that they cannot replace the lens under warranty because of a technical issue bulletin issued by Ford Moter company that states that condensation is normal and that it should dissipate after a short period of time. Well this has not gone away. And after some time, it will start corroding the electrical connections for the lights and cause them to stop working. The dealer is telling me that it would no be covered under warranty until there is at least a quarter of water in the bottom of the lens. By that time the electrical connections for the lights will be damaged

I was driving down the road at approximately 35mph. The vehicle began to sputter and then started loosing power. I was only able to drive approximately another 150 meters and get over to the shoulder of the road. Once stopped the vehicle stopped running all together. The vehicle did have power but only to the electronics. The engine had shut down. I shut off the vehicle all the way and then restarted. It ran fine after that. This was on 01/29/2025. The vehicle had a previous instance where it did not start. It would crank the motor for approximately 6 to 8 seconds, the engine would fire and then shut off after about 1-2 seconds. The fuse box and wiring harness have both been replaced and the vehicle still seems to be having issues that could cause major damage and or injuries/death to the occupants.

I started receiving notifications that the battery on my 2023 Ford F150 was in battery save mode due to low battery. I called my dealership and set up an appointment. I took in my vehicle and they charged the battery but told us that Ford has an issue with these batteries not holding a charge. He recommended we just run our truck in the driveway for 30 min when this happens. The charge lasted 3 day's, I drive this vehicle multiple times daily and we have taken many trips in it. I have never had a vehicle that the battery will not charge properly and then to be told they know this is an issue but aren't doing anything to fix it is unacceptable.

2019 F150 Backup camera doesn't work. Ford recalled some 2019 F150's but not mine. I've noticed they are having a huge issue with backup cameras and was also told the same by the dealership. Seems as like they should be responsible for fixing mine too. 2019 Supercab door locks freeze. Ford fixed under a recall. The recall worked for a year. Called dealer back last year Ford won't fix it again. It's obviously a manufacturer defect that wasn't fixed correctly on the recall. Seems crazy that I have to pay them to fix it again. The lock freezes open and you can't lock the door. It will open while driving.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked near the side of the residence and unoccupied as he was inside the home asleep, the vehicle caught on fire. The contact stated that the dogs alarmed them of the failure and the contact could hear the tires possibly popping/exploding due to the fire. The exterior and interior walls, attic, and electrical box were all burned. The Ford app indicated a "Faulty Connection" warning message as he attempted to dial 911. The local fire department arrived to extinguish the flames and filed a report but was unavailable. A police report was not filed. No injuries were sustained. The contact stated the fire marshal advised that the vehicle should not be moved until further investigation. In addition, the contact stated that the fire may have started from the middle console due to an EV battery failure. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a report. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

I entered my 23 F150 Lightning Lariat started the vehicle, was driving into work with my stero on 5 ( fairly low volume ) in surround mode, and all of the speakers suddently popped at an extremely high volume which was very shocking for a safety standpoint. I stopped the truck thinking there was a major electrical issue checked the truck / amp components for any sort of water or other issue, ( truck is mint new condition ) and nothing was found, all connections were clearly seated well. Truck radio was in surround mode, switched to stero and everything seemed fine and no issues, switched back to surround mode and the issue immediately reappeared. So its something with this mode / amp / setting... Did quite an extensive amount of reading online and came accross this issue was quite extensive for this truck. It needs to be documented and fixed, dealer shrugged when I called them...

The vehicle stopped to work without any warning or apparent reason. Now the gear shift is stuck at Park position and the vehicle will not start asking the driver to move the gear selector to Park position. It will not also take any charge (it's Lightning, an EV). It's a safety hazard if the vehicle stop while driving and may leave the driver and passengers stranded away from home.

I got into my vehicle and turned it on but the dashboard would not respond. On the advice of some Ford forums, I attempted a soft reset of the "infotainment" system by holding down the volume down + next track buttons and the center console screen restarted but the dashboard would not turn on. I ended up driving home using my phone as a GPS speedometer. After multiple restarts, I waited about 3 hours to try to restart the truck and when the dashboard suddenly started working again.
