when driving along at cruise speed, the brake pedal gets real hard and the truck starts to feel as though someone is adding weight to the bed until it comes to a stop. we have changed both rear wheel calipers and brakes, the caliper in front, all new brake shoes, and new brake line from the front to the rear. sometimes when going down the road and you hit the brake pedal it may let the brake disengage and it seems normal, may happen again in a few miles. have had the truck in the Ford dealer a week and they found nothing. it is now in the garage of a race car driver who has had it for three weeks now and he is stumped. he has had several other people try to figure it out but to no avail. any suggestions?
