The contact owns a 2000 Ford F250. When the contact turns off the vehicle after it has been driven, it will suddenly restart automatically. She must insert the key and turn the ignition switch on and off in order to turn off the vehicle. The contact did not notice any differences in the vehicle prior to the failure. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. The current and failure mileages were 150,000.

When crossing multiple railroad tracks, ignition shut off and would not restart. Managed to coast past tracks before coming to a stop on side of road. Tow truck driver (larry's towing 281-342-981, rosenberg tx) said this was the second Ford truck(model year 2000, that he had towed with same problem, just stopped running. This problem which could easily had led to fatal accident when stopped on rail line is apparently well knwn to tow truck drivers, thus must also be known to Ford, but they have no recall etc.2
