This incident was a complete shock: I had just put my truck in reverse to back-up and the front axle completely fell- the right hand wheel collapsed: I have pictures.

Rear axle seal failed and was leaking lubricant into the drivers side wheel rim and braking components. If gone unnoticed this could potentially cause failure of the left side braking system in the rear of the vehicle.
