F-250 8-cyl Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles
The contact owns a 2003 Ford F-250. The contact stated the seam that holds the roof in place fractured from the front of the vehicle to the rear. The vehicle was inspected by a dealer who advised him that they were aware of the failure and that he would need to have the seal grind out and replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000. In 2 hours I located 12 additional Ford vehicles at dealerships with the same problem. 2006 and older vehicles including my own 2005 freestar. I believe if involved in an accident the roof will dislodge causing the occupants to be ejected. The manufacture was contacted they are aware and refused to assist. Updated 10/18/2011
