Regular driving on open road, no harsh conditions - power loss, without any warning - no engine lights or warnngs - sudden decelleration, jerky response more decelleration - limp off ramp, limp home. Turbo sounding whiny and different, no response to added pressing on gas, nor stop, restart. Has been evaluated at dealership many times and many problems corrected, paid for yet nothing works - regular maintenance is preformed on this vehicle, much care is taken by owner. Very dangerous condition will cause a wreck, can no longer endanger lives, we do everything the dealers ask and condition returns. Must evaluate at new dealership and whether or not can keep. I am getting post traumatic stress from this vehicle and it's lack of unreliable Transport. I fear getting into the car for any distance - if I have to return to the bank, I must advise them not to re-sell liability reasons and inform them of chronic lemon problems in this model F250 6.0 Ford truck.

The above vehicle has had multiple problems due to the design of the engine including such things as the egr cooler, the egr valve (twice), the fuel injector control mod (ficm), the high pressure oil regulator screen, (a.10 cent piece $450 labor). If you will search this engine from 2003 to 2007 you will find hundred if not thousand of post by owners of the 6.0 powerstroke that are having the same problems over and over. Ford refuses to do anything to help anyone and they told me in an email you were the only ones that can make them have a recall. I hope you will step up and help all of us. Ford filed suit against the manufacture (internation/ navistar) over this engines problems back in 2004 but they kept selling it knowing it had problems that would be left up to the buyers of the vehicles, I was personally told by a salesman to expect 350,000 miles from this engine. If you can not help me and the others can you tell me what else I can do" will it take legal action or is there another path I can take"

Starting with a service on 2/19/2008 the truck had been idling really rough and making a ticking sound when started. At that time the Ford service department stated that the noise went away with factory oil and filter. This problem has persisted up to and including when we took it in last week where we were told that this could be fixed with thicker oil, and to return when it is time for our next service. The second issue has persisted since mid 2010, it is a foul fuel smell coming inside the cab, through the ac vents when the truck is started in the morning and when idling. We have been told over and over aging that nothing can be found and they cannot smell it. We were also told that they drove the truck around during a service on 8/17/2011 to see if they could smell it, yet our miles in and miles out on our service records both state 47,771. Not sure how they drove it without changing the miles. Our truck barely has 50,000 miles on it, it is serviced regularly yet it idles horribly, smells of fuel and gets 7mpg. Something has to be wrong!

I have a Ford 2005 F-150 that has a misfire in cylinder number 6 due to a spark plug defect according to the mechanics. The spark plug cannot be removed without breaking as it appears to be fused to the head. It is my understanding that Ford manufacturer will not repair or replace this defect at no cost to the consumer. Upon further investigation, and judging by the number of consumer complaints with the same issue during the past few years, this problem appears to be a manufacturer's defect and thusly not a consumer problem. The spark plug defect was discovered at the time of emission testing which is required annually under Georgia law in order to acquire a vehicle tag renewal.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the vehicle would overheat and then stall. The vehicle would not restart after the failures. Both the dealer and manufacturer were aware of the failure; however, they did not offer any assistance. No additional repairs were performed. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000 and the current mileage was 114,000. The VIN was unavailable.

The contact owns a 2005 Ford F-250. The contact stated that she smelled a burning odor and noticed that there was no water in the radiator unit. She took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the egr cooling unit at the cost of $1,100. The technician stated that on this particular model vehicle he makes at least two repairs a day in reference to this component. Immediately after the repair, the contact smelled an odor identical to antifreeze fluid, and noticed that the radiator did not have any water in it once again. She is in the process of having the vehicle re-inspected. The contact emailed the manufacturer and a representative responded by denouncing any responsibility for her failure. The representative also stated that it was not a manufacturer defect. The failure and current mileages were 108,000.
