problem #2

Dec 092020

F-250 Super Duty 6.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 116,520 miles

Purchased truck for $22k, had only 96,000 miles on the odometer, and in the first 3 days of having truck, had it in shop - it quit running and would not start back. I spent $4,000 replacing the injectors and icp sensor, ran for 1 week and just about crashed into another vehicle head on. I took it back to shop cause it would not start, the icp sensor bad again, so another $300. I got home, ran for 2 days, and bam, same thing again, icp sensor, $300.

I have had 5 icp sensors replaced in this truck, it's the only thing wrong with it. The code is p2285, and now it's December 14, 2022, and truck is still in my driveway with only 140k miles on it and won't even think about starting. The Ford dealership and Ford manufacturing have both admitted that this truck is faulty and needs to have replaced the ficm and icp sensor wiring harnesses, but yet they will not do so. I have a email to prove the recall on my truck for this issue. My advice? Stick to gas and stay away from diesel, they're nothing but pulling money from a bank issue in my opinion.

F-250 SD V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

very frustrating when you go to the dealership that makes the vehicle and they can't tell you what the problem is. I depend on this truck to pull my travel trailer and take my family on vacation and afraid to drive it out of town cause you never know when it might give out. Had a lot of confidence in ford vehicles but my opinion is very low right now. If they can't find the problems with the truck (they make) well that looks really bad. They put it on the machine, shows nothing wrong. They keep it two different times for bout a week each time, still couldn't find anything. Since it don't show up on the machine they can't find it.
