F-250 Lariat King Ranch 6.0L Diesel

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,000 miles

Ford refused assistance on this common failure of the 6.0 diesel engine. Zero corporate responsibility. Zero action from Ford. I could not be more delighted if the earth opened up and swallowed the blue oval ;)

F-250 XLT 6.0L PowerStroke

  • Automatic transmission
  • 165,000 miles

I AM THE PROUD OWNER OF A ----------- 2006 FORD F250 SUPER DOODOO. BOUGHT IT NEW, GOT IT AT A WHOPPING DISCOUNT TO STICKER PRICE(NOW I KNOW WHY)

I SPEND AROUND 3.000 DOLLARS PER YEAR IN REPAIRS INCLUDING SUCH FUN THINGS AS CAMSHAFT SENSORS, CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, FUEL INJECTORS, STEERING GEARS (DON'T HIT A BUMP THE GEAR IS ONLY NYLON) HAVE REPLACED THE RADIO 3 TIMES, DAMN TRUCK SAGS ON PASSENGER SIDE, AND NOW FOR THE FINALE THE ERG VALVE BITES IT AND BOOM OVERHEATS AND BLOWS HEAD GASKET ITS AMAZING HOW MUCH WHITE SMOKE CAN SQUIRT OUT THE TAILPIPE AT ONCE!!! TALKED TO A DIESEL MECHANIC HE SAYS THERE IS A FIX FOR THESE ENGINE IT REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF A LOT OF PARTS COMPLETE TEAR DOWN OF ENGINE, AND USING HIGHER QUALITY PARTS AS NAVISTAR USED LOW QUALITY INFERIOR PARTS ETC.

EVERY 6.0 SUPER DUTY WILL REQUIRE THIS WORK AS IT IS STANDARD TO KEEP TRUCK RUNNING.

BUT IT DOES LOOK GOOD IN DRIVEWAY AS AN ORNAMENT! I HAVE SPENT 24,000 DOLLARS IN REPAIRS IN 8 YEARS ON THIS TRUCK, MAN I LOVE FORD!!!!! LOL WISH I'D TAKEN THOSE DOLLARS AND BOUGHT A MERCEDES WITH IT AT LEAST THAT WOULD RUN!!!

IF YOU ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO BUY A FORD SUPER DUTY BUY A TOW TRUCK ALSO YOU WILL NEED IT TO KEEP THE TRUCK ON ROAD FORD SHOULD INCLUDE ONE WITH THE F250 AS STANDARD EQUIPMENT

F-250

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

I have a 2006 F250 with 6.0 powerstroke diesel with 80000 miles. This is the second time if had egr cooler and blown head gaskets. Luckily the first time was under warranty however this one is on me at a cost of 3800 dollars. It pisses me off that Ford has done nothing to help with these issues. I have been a loyal ford owner all my life but it may be time to change. As of now I will never buy another ford as they don't stand by there product.

i have "for now" a Ford F250, it started smoking black and white smoke so i directly brought it to my local ford dealer, the next day they informed me that my cooler, turbo and EGR has gone bad!!!! the repair bill was $4,300 dollars. my truck is an 2006, with 60,033 miles on it and was less than 1 month out of the 5 year warranty as well as 40,000 mile under the 100,000 mile warranty. my truck is currently sitting at the dealership and has been there for 4 weeks now, i have had door after door slammed in my face each time i tried to get some sort of assistance from ford!!! i cannot afford to pay $4,300 to get my truck back and told them it will have to sit there until i get the money, but i have no intention of retrieving my truck until i am 100% convinced ford will not lend a helping hand of any sort.

it amazes me how many other people out there have had the exact same problem!!!

Why hasn't Ford Recalled this Engine. Costing consumers $$$$$$$. Just look at all of the Blogs on this issue and there is more than you care to read. IMO if Ford recalls this engine it will break them.
