F-250 4WD 8-cyl Diesel

  • 80,331 miles
In September of 2015 the handle would not open the tail gate we were pulling our 5th wheel camper. We were able to raise the camper higher than the tail gate to hook up the camper. We took it to Ford it was diagnosis and said that it would have to be replaced. The cost was around $278.90. We saw the next we were camping in the same camp ground after our repairs were made another Ford F-250 Super Duty not sure what year it was but it looked as if it was a 2010 the owner was also having trouble getting the tail gate open on his truck but he was hauling a tag along camper. Is there any recall problems with the tail gates on these trucks. This was at 80331 miles. We also have had to replace track bar and track bar ball joint and drag link. We were told that this is a problem with the F series Super Duty. Is there a recall on this. This was done in June of 2017 with 100778 miles. When you hit a bump the front end would shake so bad that you had to hold the steering wheel tight and let the truck slow down by itself. It happened at a low speed and at 70 mph with me one dad it felt like the front wheels were going to bounce right off the truck and very scary for a women I was afraid to put on the brakes so it was a ruff ride till it slowed down enough to stop the shaking. This was at a cost of$1,133.32. It would be nice to get a feed back on this information if possible. F-250 10-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 91,000 miles
The contact owns a 2010 Ford F-250. While driving various speeds, the contact noticed a loud rattling noise between the body and frame of the vehicle towards the rear of the vehicle. When inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed that the rubber bushing (a protective layer) between the cab and the frame underneath the cab had completely rotted out and was causing the metal in the area to touch. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case on the vehicle. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 91,000.
