ford is using poor quality parts in their vehicles and know it. the appium went out on my truck right as warranty was going out. it was replaced under extended warranty. Just a little over a year later, the appium goes out again. called was not covered under warranty but was told ford knows it is a faulty part. to replace will cost over six hundred dollars. Bought ford because everyone says it is the best truck but they are nothing but expensive problems. I will never purchase a ford vehicle again or anyone in my family. ford does not stand behind its product or craftsman ship. spread the word don't by ford.

F-250 Lariat 6.7L

Took the truck in originally because the rear camera was malfunctioning. 6 Trips to the Ford service department later. They replaced the camera and the myford touchscreen, the camera still didn't work. They narrowed it down to faulty electrical plugs under the truck. They asked if the truck had even been in a flood...no it hadn't even been in a flood. They said the plugs had water in them and that they were corroded. I was told that, despite having the best Ford Premium ESP Warranty, they won't cover it since it had water in the plug. Furious, I called Ford Warranty Department and complained. I was given a Ford case number and they said they would email me back in 1 day. I'm now on day 2 and haven't heard anything from Ford. I also was having problems with my horn...it would occasionally turn on by itself. I would have to manually pull on the horn in the steering wheel to get it to stop. I mentioned to the Ford service department and they took it apart, put it back together and said they can't find anything wrong with it. After taking the truck home that night...the next morning, my neighbor came over to let me know that my horn turned on a 3am and eventually died in my driveway. Now, my horn no longer works at all. I have voiced my frustration with the Ford Shop manager over my concern of purchasing an expensive truck and the best bumper-to-bumper warranty money can buy and Ford is refusing to fix what is obviously a defect in their pigtail wiring. Oh, and, the tech that looked at the wiring under the truck broke all of the connectors that hold the wires in place under the truck... and now the wires are literally just hanging off the truck now. I am furious!!!!!!
