After we drove over a bumpy section of road the truck experienced uncontrollable shaking. The road conditions were not severe, but were the cause of the shaking. During the immediate aftermath no input was possible apart from taking my foot off the accelerator. The shaking was severe and uncontrolled causing other vehicles in the vicinity to react. It felt like the truck was going to flip over. This has now happened several times since we purchased the truck. We recently had new brakes installed, but that is not the reason for the shaking.

-I was driving 65 mph in morning rush traffic when I drove over an overpass. Near the end of the there are some small wrinkles in the concrete. Once I drove over these wrinkles in the pavement, my steering wheel and front end started violently shaking. I removed my foot from the accelerator and once my speed decreased to I'd say 20-30 mph the shaking stopped. My research show that this if referred to as the Ford Death Wobble. -The system that failed were likely the track bar bushing, damper bracket, ball joints, control arms, shocks, and struts. Yes, the truck is available for inspection upon request. -When the front end of the truck started violently shacking I was going 65 mph in lunch rush hour traffic. I'd say that my life and the life of the drivers of the vehicles to my left, right, and rear were at risk. -No, the problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or anyone else. -No, the vehicle or components have not been inspected by anyone. -No, there were not any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, nor did any warning appear during or after the shaking. -My best assessment of the cause

The truck shakes violently after hitting a bump in the road. I have had new Michelin tires installed (by Discount Tires) and balanced twice, and the front end and alignment checked (by Leonard's Truck & Frame Service), both located in Lake City, FL. I think the problem is what is commonly referred to as F250 "Death Wobble".

I recently received a warning for P20BA informing me that the truck had a failed DEF heater. The unit was not in warranty and parts estimate for this is $360-$400 with an additional $400 dollars in labor for a total cost at minimum of $800 to $1,000 to replace a part that Ford Motor Company knew was a high failure rate part that would not meet industry standards.

I was attempting to access the interstate when my truck began to immediately shut down at 70 miles per hour. I received a warning as the engine shut down stating that my engine power was reduced. At the exact moment the message displayed, the truck immediately died at 70 mph leaving me to be forced to wrestle the steering wheel to maneuver the truck to the side of the interstate as I had no power steering due to the failure. I have been informed that my truck is a victim of a catastrophic engine failure as a result of a failed CP4 OEM Bosch high-pressure fuel pump. The failure has resulted in the complete contamination of the fuel system requiring a complete overhaul with parts cost at $6,600 and approximately $4,000 in labor for a total of more than $10,600. on a low mileage diesel.

Ford has consistently indicated that the replacement part is available and it is not. Oou truck has a heated steering wheel. The clock spring for the heated steering wheel is different from the standard clock spring. FORD DOES NOT HAVE THE PART. Our truck is not safe to drive.

Severe shaking of front end at highway speeds (55-65mph) causing inability to control steering causing immediate reduction in speed to avoid accident and stopping. No warning lamps or messages prior to vehicle shaking. Road was dry and normal conditions. Did not hit any hazard, no potholes, or debris causing damage or explanation as to why truck began to shake. Safety of driver and passengers were at risk due to possible loss of control if continued driving. Problem continued returning to home where vehicle parked approximately 25 miles at 45 mph with no major shaking. This occurred August 6, 2023, at approximately 5:00pm. There was me and one passenger on way to doctor appointment in Tulsa, a 4-hour drive. Did not trust vehicle safety to continue trip. Drove it home and parked. Vehicle is going to be taken to Ford dealership, in Idabel, OK, where purchased and all maintenance has been done. Truck has 33,971.5 miles as sitting now. Not used extensively, highway miles. Will drive to dealership on August 16th, 2023. Leaving it there for them to diagnose and repair the problem. Available to be inspected.

Yesterday (3/20/23), as I was driving on the interstate at about 70 miles per hour, I hit a bump in the road and that caused the truck to go into severe shaking which I later learned has been termed as the "death wobble". I had to pull over to the emergency lane and stop the vehicle in order to get the vehicle under control. Luckily, there were not many vehicles on the road at the time so moving from the middle lane to the emergency lane on the right side was easy to do without causing any disruption to other drivers. I called my mechanic about the situation and he was the one to tell me it was the "death wobble" and it is common in Ford trucks and Jeeps. This was my first time experiencing this "death wobble" and it scared the crap out of me. In the past, I've hit bumps before and the truck felt like it might bounce off the road, but it never continuously shook (and shake violently) like it did yesterday. There was no warning or warning lights or anything like that that came on. As I was going to the emergency lane I did turn on the emergency flashers. I have an appointment with my mechanic to get this looked at in a week. That was the soonest I could get in.

Truck was driving 70 mph going to TN when it started shaking and grinding or awful noise. Lost control of steering d/t shaking. Slowed down and pulled over to side of road to check vehicle equipment. Made call to my son who said it's the death wobble, advised to slow below 60 mph. No death wobble again unless I hit a bump then it started again.

Death wobble. Uncontrollable shaking in steering to the point of loss of control. Occurs after a bumpy road or at speeds in excess of 45mph. This occurred on a packed interstate and by the grace of God we didn't wreck or be rear-ended by a semi.

10 times over about a 12 month period, (with 5 of the 10 happening in one 6 hour period, after we have spent thousands of dollars trying to fix this issue) if we run over a bump in the road at over 60 mph, the front end of the truck goes into violent, uncontrollable shaking. The only way to stop it is to smash the brakes as hard as you can to get the trucks speed below 30 mph so you can regain control of the steering wheel and front end. It-??s one of the scariest things we have ever experienced. Please make FORD fix this problem before someone gets killed!!!!

Check engine code P2002. Dealer indicated the diesel particulate filter needs replaced. Found Ford Customer Satisfaction Program 20M06 which based on the description covers the issue but Ford says 20M06 is not attached to my VIN even though it represents the exact same issue.

Diagnostic Trouble Code P21B0 Reductant level sensor C circuit high I know several people that have had this same issue concerning the DEF tank assembly costing close to $1000. A recall was issued for earlier models but doesnt cover my truck that now has this same issue. It's this type of failure that makes owners of diesel vehicles contemplate deleting these pollution reducing systems. Please consider an expanded recall.

Dpf heater (reductant heater) stopped working. Vehicle is slightly over 5 years old with 87k miles. NHTSA has a TSB (TSB 18-2190) on this part on 2011-2012 f-250/f-350 and 2011-2015 f-450 and f-550. The problem seems to still persist on the 2016 model-??

It seems to happen at higher speeds with the change in pavement my front end started shaking violently and I felt like I was going to lose control of the vehicle. I had to reduce speed quickly to get control of the vehicle. I am concerned for my safety and the safety of others around me including those in my vehicle. I have tried to have it fixed at an auto repair shop and the problem has not resolved. I am trying to schedule an appointment with the dealer but they have a backlog.

I was driving at 70mph, and the truck went into the death wobble. Violently shaking and bouncing as I drove and slowed down to 25mph on the highway until it finally stopped. I was on a section of highway were I could not get off the road for about another half mile. It happened this morning at 7:15am, and I have not had the opportunity to take it in for service. There were no warning lights that came on. I fear for my safety if it were to happen again. If there was traffic behind me, I may not have been able to slow down as quickly as I did without being hit.

I recently bought a truck from a smaller car dealership on Feb. 16 2021. The vehicles odometer read 109,000 miles when I purchased it. It's been a couple of months now and I recently decided to run a carfax report on the truck and it showed me that the trucks odometer had once read 136,000 miles, and 142,000 before it was labelled as "potential odometer rollback. A couple of weeks after this potential odometer fraud was labelled by carfax the trucks odometer went to 109,000 miles, which was how many miles it said the truck had when I bought it. I believe that I'm dealing with odometer fraud, and I need to get this resolved asap.
