The bell kept ringing and the message on the dash said a door was ajar while the transmission was NOT in PARK. BOTH Front Doors would not latch so I elected to leave the truck in my driveway for 15 minutes and try again. The Passenger Door then latched after I just pulled it open and then slammed it shut. The Driver's Door had to be opened and shut about 12 times before it latched. Then the bell stopped ringing and the messages went back to normal.
Rodeo Ford, the dealer where I bought the truck only 9 months ago, said Ford doesn't think this is a problem here and won't pay for repairing it. Instead... now get this... they say to DRIVE the truck to the dealer, WITH THE FRONT DOOR OPEN! THAT'S RIGHT! I'M SUPPOSED TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER THE NEXT TIME THE FRONT DOOR FREEZES OPEN AND DRIVE TO THE DEALER WITH THE FRONT DOOR OPEN! How does this makes sense???
Update from Jan 2, 2019: The complaint should be the Front DOORS Freeze.
