Dash instruments, radio, compass, overhead console, all blank and inoperable. Was told by for service that many vehicles 2017 to 2019 are having same problem. Told the instrument cluster module powers multiple areas of truck and will need a new module. Was told there is a glitch in the design.

Noticed that my floor is getting soaked for no reason. After looking online and reading about others that are experiencing the same issues I found out that is was the cabin pressure vent that was leaking. The cabin pressure vent is found between the truck bed and cab. They are plastic and since the plastic clips lose tightness over the years I did not notice a slow leak in the back. Now when pulling up all of the carpet I notice I have black mold all under the carpet where my 3 year old rides. This is a huge health concern since black mold is unhealthy and not noticeable if this is a slow leak. This seems to be an issue or many people with these trucks. This is a reoccurring issue since many people had this issue starting back in 2007. I am out of the warranty time and now I had to replace my entire carpet all while my truck has been unusable for the last few weeks.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated that upon utilizing the snowplow mounted on the vehicle, the instrument panel lights would turn off and the vehicle would experience other electrical failures. The contact stated that the failure reoccurred consistently at times of high electrical system usage. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that an unknown software update needed to be completed on the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that if the software update failed to resolve the issue, a large battery and a large alternator would need to be installed on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under Ford Technical Service Bulletin Numbers: 17-0018 and 19-2373. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.

On Tues Nov 16, 2021 evening we discovered our Ford f-250 super duty diesel 6.7L on fire. Fire department was dispatched. They extinguished the fire and they determined that it was most likely the engine block heater (It was plugged in because of 0 degree temps that evening). The GFCI breaker was tripped. Upon later research, I found the NHTSA safety recall report 18v-894 dated Dec 18, 2018 found that the vehicle's engine block heater cable is susceptible to moisture accumulation and subsequent fire because of these factors: a female connector angled upwards at 45 degree or greater angle, a low mounting position in the vehicle, and an unshielded or exposed mounting location. On 5/30/2019 we took the vehicle into our local Ford service dealer because of recall #18s45 and they disabled the block heater. On Oct 28, 2019 we responded to recall 19g01and took the vehicle again into the dealer because they reported they had the fix. At that time they replaced the cord on the existing block heater. Consequently, 2 years later, our vehicle succumbed to a catastrophic total loss fire because Ford's recall solution was to simply replace the cord, not to actually address the root cause of the problem, which was the low mounting location and susceptibility to corrosion of the terminals in cold climates. Ford is not cooperating with our requests for them to help us. They advised us that they will no longer be addressing this matter, that they are not going to get involved in helping with our immediate needs (our most immediate need being transportation to and from work), and there is no need to contact them again and they will not be contacting us. Their legal department advised us to consult our insurance company for compensation. By the way, on Aug 17, 2021 we took the vehicle in for its 30,000 mile service, which included full inspection.

The driver and passenger seat massage do not work properly, the lumbar and seat portion work intermittently and for a shorter duration than twenty minutes (2017 Ford F250 platinum). The vehicle wiper blade rate of action randomly increases and decreases on it's own. I was told today by the Ford dealership in redding, California that a technical service bulletin had been issued for the seat massage problem, but that Ford would not correct the problem unless I pay $800 for this repair. If Ford is aware that the vehicle seats have this issue and know how to correct it, why am I being charged to correct it and make it right?

I have had multiple instances of the 2017 Ford F250 platinum with 107,000 but in excellent shape and well maintained. While driving down the road it will shut shutdown for no reason.I have taken it in to the dealer and they said it was a problem in the right rear taillight. It did not fix the problem. This happens fairly regular. When it happens I get multiple error messages. Taillight system fault, blind spot system fault and then says see owners manuel. I am worried this may happen when towing a piece of equipment. I have request a Ford rep look at it if the service tech cannot figure the issue out.

The positive terminal of the passenger-side battery cable assembly melted. Not corroded'it melted. The terminal was like grey marshmallow. All required and recommended truck service has been performed on time and by the Ford dealership and no anomalies with the battery or electrical system were ever noted by the dealership. Truck is less than 36 months old and the batteries were original and oem and less than their 36 month guaranteed life. No damage evident to the battery. This is dangerous and could of potentially started a vehicle fire. Even more interesting is this cable assembly is on an emergency back-order. The part is 'hc3Z 14300 a :cable assembly - battery to battery' and Ford quotes $2,500 - $3,000 to fix it (parts and labor) and they claim it failed due to normal wear and tear which is preposterous. This is a safety issue and the NHTSA needs to be aware of it. This could of lead to a deadly vehicle fire. Again, this was not corrosion of the terminal, this was the terminal melting. I still have the batteries that this situation occurred with although new batteries have now been installed in the vehicle.

The 120 volt outlet in the dash faults out all the time, it has been in the shop at least four times to resolve the issue. Ford csr at first claimed the dealership could not duplicate the issue which was a lie, as I could show them the failure, then Ford csr sent me an email stating they can not fix it and if I don't like their answer to file a complaint with the better business bureau. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

The issue started with the automatic tailgate deploying or opening during transit. I was hauling cargo and the at highway speed the tailgate opened and the load ejected from the the bed of truck onto the highway. Fortunately there was no accident or damage to anyone else property. After this occurrence over a period of weeks the issue continues to get worse. It happens now regularly and numerous times during a day. I do not haul cargo now because of this. Now the truck electrical system seems to be involved. The windows, radio and lights have issues. The tailgate has no now stopped opening randomly and is stuck in the closed position, this could be do to extreme force I applied during closing it in while stetting at a busy intersection recently. The instrument P[panel on the vehicle is very intelligent and all the settings regular disconnect or malfunction now. I am afraid to use the the cruise control because of the continuously random nature of the electronic failures.

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-250. While driving 55 mph, the automatic tailgate activated independently. The contact pulled the vehicle over off of the roadway and closed the tailgate. When the contact re-entered the vehicle, the tailgate activated independently again. The vehicle was taken to gjovik Ford Inc (located at 2600 us-34, sandwich, il 60548, (630) 552-8058) where it was diagnosed that water made contact with the wiring harness that controlled the tailgate. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 37,000.

I continue to have issues with the tailgate opening on its own. Today it came down sometime while I was traveling down the interstate to work. I will eventually loose something out of the back, and I have a cover on the bed, so I cannot see when the tailgate is down. My truck does not fall in the time frame Ford has on their tsb so I the dealership cannot address the problem.
