We were pulling 5th wheel at approximately 70 mph. Hit bump in road. Pickup started shimming/shaking violently, almost lost control. Had to reduce speed immediately which is hard to do in traffic. However, this happened again without the fifth wheel driving down the road at approximately 75 mph. Hit bump in road and you have to all but slam on the brakes to get it to stop. Did this again 3-4 times trying to reach dealership. The pickup has been in dealership for three (3) weeks today. The dealership says parts are on back order and they have no idea when part will be in to fix if fixable.

Hwy 129 Dodge county ga, A1116T 60 mph truck violently went left and front end started uncontrollable severe shaking/oscillating. Slammed on brakes and only regained control of truck after mph dropped below 30. Stared moving again and 20 min later at 60 same thing! called Ford dealership and I have an apt this morning at 9 they sway bar issue, I research and its called death wobble. If some one had been in the on coming lane this would be a different story/complaint as we don't know if anyone would have survived!!!

Driving highway speeds, 55 or above and hit a bump on highway the truck violently shakes and will not stop until almost stopping the vehicle. It's happened once at 70 mph on interstate and 5 times going 55 on a state highway. The vehicle has 54000 on it. Just happened Nov 15th and 17th 2019. Very scary and could lead to real safety problems pulling a trailer.

I've had multiple occasions of the death wobble while drive at higher speeds. The latest incident happened yesterday 11/16/20 and was the worst incident so far. Driving down the highway at 60 mph after hitting a couple seems in the concrete the truck began to violently shake and wobble, progressively getting worse over the course of 1-2 mins. I let my foot off the gas peddle and applied slight pressure to the breaks, which made the wobble worse. After finally slowing down to ~30 mph the truck stopped wobbling and shaking. I honestly believe a less experienced driver could have easily lost control and rolled the truck causing a multiple vehicle accident on the highway killing people.

While traveling at 70 mph dry roads, the front end started to shake violently after hitting a bump in the road. After online research I believe this to be the dreaded "death wobble" that numerous people have reported but yet Ford has not fixed the issue for years.

My truck has the "death wobble". on 6/7/19 took truck to dealer with 32,499 miles. Gulf coast Ford angelton, tx. Dealer confirmed death wobble replaced all 4 steering links, steering shock, checked alignment and set toe. 10/22/19 truck now has 41,000 miles and the death wobble has returned. Waiting to hear from dealer. This is a major safety concern of loosing control of vehicle. I have a video of the death wobble. Please take action on this issue I know that NHTSA has heard of this problem before. Ford does not have a fix. This is the second Ford that I have had that had this issue. The dealer told me the 2019 models do it as well. Ford needs to be held accountable. Both death wobbles I have experienced vehicle was in motion at speeds of 60-65

Death wobble. Vehicle goes into a violent shake when the road surface transitions or when truck comes in contact with a bump. Front end of the truck shakes violently. Truck has to be slowed down nearly to stop before it stops. Major issue when you are on an interstate with other vehicles and peoples lives around you.

Driving vehicle on multiple occasions noticed vibrations in the front end of vehicle a shaking of some sort at about mile 33000 and mentioned to service manage that their was a clunking in the front end but his computer was down to run diagnostic on it when he did oil change at 33805 his service tech drove it and heard it also but could not locate the origin at that time. Dealership couldnt find nothing wrong. On visits. It happened again. Then the vehicle would encounter a bump in travel and the vehicle would become totally uncontrollable at speeds between 72 to 52 mph. I 75 South at micanopy fl overpass. Hwy 351 in dixie county fl. Hwy 441 at alachia North bound. This has happened at least 5 different times and has been in the shop now its 4th time and the dealership stated they have done everything Ford Motor Company has requested and still ha E a vehicle that will wreck eventually. Fue to quick responce semi truck drivers they seen the truck going across to the center median then back across 3 lanes of traffic with out very much control by the driver except to tap the brakes and pray. The traffic was behind me at a comfortable distance when I finally brought the truck to rest at the should of the on ramp. This vehicle is unfit to drive as you never know when it will happen to you. A slight bump at time is all it takes to shake the front end and your entire truck and being. I feel I am very unsafe with this truck that it was towed by dealership to be repaired. They recommend trading it in on another but I would feel the same as they have stated that 7 percent of their 250S have this issue. That is a serious issue. I would not want any one to experience this what they call yhe death wobble. I will not drive yhis truck again and my family will not either. They replace the steering dampner 2 times then another part. And we still have the death wobble today

I have a severe wobble in the front end of my truck. It isn't a constant wobble and I never know when it will happen. I notice it happens at higher speeds and when hitting a bump. I have been to the dealership with this problem. The first time they replaced the steering stabilizer it didn't help. The second time I was told everything was tight and right and that my tires were out of balance. I had them balanced that same day, again it didn't help. The problem forcing me to basically park my vehicle or only drive it around town at lower speeds that I know I haven't experienced the wobble at. I am afraid to drive this truck because when this wobble happens it is very difficult to control I have to try and slow down and pullover to the shoulder of the road. You should do something about this as I have read numerous reports of people having the very same issue. It's unsafe and it going to kill people if something is not done to make the manufacturer fix these problems.

Death wobble in the 2017 Ford F250 is not acceptable. We were nearly killed this past weekend. Ford service has it right now. But from all the reviews I have read, the wobble returns and usually after the warranty has expired.. this is a serious problem. It happened one time to us 6 months ago, and this past weekend about 5 or 6 times on a 250 mile road trip. Shakes and wobbles uncontrollably. We were on I-40 going about 70 miles mph. When we would hit bumps or cross uneven bridge it would go crazy.

First time at 6000 miles driving 70mph expenernst the death wobble. Ford couldn't get parts they needed. Allined at local Ford dealer to Ford recommendations. Didn't experience again till 26000 miles. We are on a trip and it has happened 7 times. Ford doesn't seem to want to admit we have a problem. We were on the interstates.

Takata recall I was driving on the I10 freeway when I hit a small bump in the road. The vehicles steering wheel began to shake violently and I started losing control of the vehicle. I slowed the vehicle down to 10 mph and it stopped. I started going again and hit a small bump and the exact same thing happened. I believe this is "death wobble" from reading all of the forums

Tailgate opens while driving down the road, Ford did not respond when I first identified this problem, then I lost an expensive tool box full of tools from the back of my truck, still no resolution and I'm out thousands of dollars. Ford does not care after the sale.

At approximately 35,500 miles I had the track bar, a new steering box and pitman arm replaced because of wear, at approximately 36,000 the truck developed "death wobble" 3 times over small bumps at about 50mph. I took it immediately back to Ford and they replaced the steering stabilizer. I was driving South on I 81 in the fast lane thinking they fixed and the truck again went into death wobble at approximately 65 -70 mph and had to brake extremely hard down to about 35 mph to get it to stop almost causing a major pile up as there was heavy traffic at that time. After I got back I dropped the truck at Ford again and told him drive it, which he wouldn't, he said he checked all the steering components and they were tight, he said "take to some place that has a better alignment rack, so I did that and paid out of my own pocket for it. It did not fix the problem, I replaced the steering box to a top of the line box out of my own pocket even though it had been replaced. I have not been able to drive my truck safely since Nov. Of 2018 and it is now Jul. 29th 2019. I cant let anyone else drive it for fear of killing an innocent person, even the mechanic that put the second steering box in did the alignment again is scared to drive it because it happened with him after the 2nd replacement box. After looking for the problem and solutions I have found this is a huge issue. If this is not taken care of people are going die, if they have not already. It is very hard to believe there are not deaths and very serious injuries caused by this as I have been thrown into the other lane several times and drop a huge amount of speed very quickly. I paid $60,000 dollars for a brand new truck and now no one can safely drive it, even the mechanic's are scared to drive it. I have had death wobble at least 13 to 15 times from January until now and at speeds from 45 to 70. Please help !!

Air bag light on the tachometer comes on while braking, usually with exterior air temp above 80 degrees. A/C compressor shuts down, turn signals go crazy when engaged, electric windows stop functioning and the brake pedal seems soft.. release the brake pedal; the air bag light goes out and everything functions as normal until the brake pedal is applied again. The fcim was replaced and reprogrammed but the issue remains. Comments please vehicle has 28000 miles +/-

While driving my 2017 F-250 6.2 V8 gas, the vehicle randomly shuts off. I lose power steering, electrical and even braking is affected. It happens at any speed, hot or cold engine. It is random and very unsafe. After a few moments, I can start the vehicle and it will drive normal for 2-3 days and it'll happen randomly again. I have had it serviced at the dealership twice now and I still have the same problem.

While traveling down the interstate at approx 70 mph I hit a bump and the vehicle's steering became violently erratic, jerking the steering wheel from my hands and the vehicle was shaking as if it was being torn apart internally. I had to slow to almost 10 mph before I was able to regain control of the vehicle. This is the 4th time the vehicle has acted in such a manner.
