In June 2019, I experienced the "death wobble" on a 2017 f250 with 32,499 miles. Truck violently shakes, almost loosing control. Speed was between 60-65 mph. Returned truck to dealer. The dealer confirmed wobble, replacing all 4 steering links, steering shocks, and checked alignment and set toe to specs. 4 months later at 41,000 miles on 10/20/19 death wobble returned. Have scheduled appointment to bring truck to dealer. I will update after repairs.

10/20/19 2017 Ford F250 with 41,000 miles experienced "death wobble". The is the second occurrence of a death wobble for the same truck. I filed a complaint for this. I will advise when the dealer repairs.

I bought this 2017 F250 used, it has the death wobble and I can't seem to get any good answers to a solution for it. From I hear Ford doesn't seem to care if this problem gets someone into a bad wreck or not. If I had known of this problem with these trucks I would bought a different brand. I hit small bumps and the steering wheel almost jerks out of my hand. Higher speeds over 55 mph and it starts to shake so bad I have to almost stop.

Death Wobble on major interstate. Had to slow down to 30 MPH to get the death wobble to stop. Took to dealer and the steering stabilizer was replaced. I have major concerns that this will only last for a short time and the Death Wobble will come back. I'm scared to drive on Interstate.

My 2017 Lariat 6.2 did the death wobble three times. Twice during the transition going off a bridge to the roadway surface, once from a pot hole on the interstate. I checked the tire pressures and found a difference of 5 lbs. between the two front tires. I went to the lower end of the pressure range and made sure the pressure was equal between the two.
For the most part this cured the problem but every once in a while there is a tiny feedback where I can feel a very slight touch of vibration but it is really not an issue. It is too sensitive regarding the tire pressure to eye it up. I also suggest that if you use a quick change oil service that you watch about the crew messing with the tire pressure. Do it yourself so you know exactly what is going on with the pressure.

Took my 2017 F 250 in to the dealer I bought it from (Rich Ford in Alb NM) as it had an extremely violent wobble which occurred twice while I drove it and once when my wife was driving it.
They replaced a steering damper which they claim had a lag/lash.
The violent wobble has since come back, occurring on several occasions since this first time of having it in for repair.
Took my truck in to McKee Ford in Rapid City SD to repair for the second time the violent wobble that supposedly had been repaired by Rich Ford in Alb. NM. McKee replaced a steering shock. It didn't fix the problem as the wobble came back on and during a trip back to NM over Christmas.
I just had my truck in for the third time today (1/6/21) for the violent wobble, second time in the McKee Ford dealer in Rapid City, and this time I had to pay $666.70
Called Ford to pay for it and was promised a return call at 3:00 the same day call, which never came.
I was sent an email promising that if I called and had to leave a message the case manager would call right back.
Two phone calls were attempted and no one would answer or even allow me to leave a message.

Whenever I apply the brakes, while going down hills, the whole front end of the truck vibrates and I have to really slow or stop to get it to stop. On flat ground there is no problem. I also recently noticed that I have lots of brake dust coming from the front brakes, but this problem was going on long before that.

I bought a F250 lariat with 20k miles before 25k the power steering pump went out or was intermittent. I never fixed it . I then had 2 front tires blow out. Got new ones , then front driver side front end start feeling like something is loose or broke. Then fine and all is good. Now at any point or speed if I hit a small bump in the road the truck goes in to the full death wobble until I nearly stop . Once in it there’s no getting out until the speed is greatly reduced. I had to stop in the middle of the hwy last time because it really feels like your driving with no tires at all. I bought this truck used for over 70k . I’ve always been loyal to ford but I’m starting to wonder what safety corners are being cut to maximize profits at any cost - Safety and quality are not what they used to be. This truck is factory stock. There is no reason for this .

Purchased the truck in July 2019. F20 King Ranch, 6.7 Diesel Eng. Experienced the first wobble in Aug 2019, the second and third wobble in October 2019, and have so far experienced 4 wobbles this month, 2 which nearly caused me to crash in Houston in heavy traffic. I have talked to several dealerships that told me this was normal. I think a lawyer with experience in these cases should look into this, seems Ford is not interested.

“Death wobbleâ€. Hit a highway bump at 60 mph and the front end begins to wobble almost uncontrollably. Steering dampener has been replaced twice previously without lasting effect. Vehicle can be dangerous to drive if you don’t get the unexpected wobble under control. Don’t know if it’s just a faulty dampener, or improper shocks/suspension, but there must be something structurally wrong for this to continue to reoccur.

Running down the interstate at any speed over 55, the front end wobbles when running over expansion joints, pot holes or just a general change in the pavement. This is very unsafe and scary, we at times pull a 30 foot bumper pull toy hauler and I am very concerned with the outcome if this were to happen pulling the trailer at 70 mph.

2 days in a row just over 50 MPH hit a bump and steering wheel starting wobbling. Scared the tar out of me both times. Waiting to go into service appointment. Expensive truck to be doing this.

Bought the truck new in 2017, and at about 8000 miles the front end started violently shaking at 60 miles an hour. Took it in to Ford and supposedly they fixed it. Drove the truck again and later, after about 13,000 miles, again front end began violently shaking at 60 miles an hour. It's a very scary event. Took it in to Ford and supposedly they fixed it again, #2.
At about 23,000 miles while pulling my fifth wheel camper, the front end began violently shaking at 60 miles an hour, this time I almost wrecked! Took it into Ford again #3, and I went off on them and told them that my confidence in the truck was gone, they did their BS and told that it was fixed again. Left for Texas with my fifth wheel, made it here and three weeks after arriving here, was going 60 miles an hour down the road and you guessed it, the Death Wobble was back and I have three witnesses to it happening.
What is it going to take for FORD to take care of the problem, some one getting hurt badly or death from a wreck? The first 2 instances happened in 2018, and the last 2 have happened in 2019. I know there is a class action lawsuit on this issue and hope that I will be included in it.
