The contact owned a 2019 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving at approximately 55 MPH, there was smoke coming from the engine compartment. The contact pulled to the side of the road, exited the vehicle, and discovered that the engine compartment was on fire; the vehicle was unoccupied during the fire. No warning lights were illuminated. Prior to the failure the "Losing Power" message was displayed on the instrument panel. A fire department report was not filed. A police department report was not filed. No injuries were sustained. The contact used water bottles to extinguish the fire. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle was totaled. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.?
