Hey, I just want my truck fixed. After all, we pay a significant amount of money for these vehicles and expect them to perform the way it's supposed to. For a 2019 F250 with less than 17,000 miles to have this problem is a problem. It has happen twice in a weeks time so now the Truck is parked until I can get it to the dealership tomorrow. I will follow up with results afterwards.

I had a 2012 F350 with the death wobble. It took two times to get it fixed, but did. 2019 with 11K SHOULD not have a death wobble. Happened twice on the same day with 65 mph blacktop, I had to lock up the brakes to a dead stop to get the wobble under control. What would have happened had it been one of my employees? Who's at fault for letting them drive a defective vehicle? We have around a dozen. Ford dealer says they are aware of the issue but don't really have a cure for it, but will look at it. Have been a loyal Ford customer for 50 years, not so much now. Didn't have vin on me when I wrote this - I will include later.

I purchased my 2019 F-250 in July 2019. I started noticing that when I hit a bump, my truck would skid sideways and loose a bit of control and then the truck would start jumping all over the place like I was driving over boulders. If someone would have been beside me while this was happening, we would have easily crashed. It was very dangerous and scary. I really started noticing it about 4 months after I bought it.

I took it to the dealership where I purchased it from and they are the ones that told me about the death wobble and that they could repair it. I was told that they could order the part which would take awhile to come in, or they could order some other part that was not covered under Ford and I would have to pay for the part and labor. I did not want to pay for anything, especially since I paid an additional $3500.00 for the extended warranty which they said didn't cover this. I also had to pay an additional $9.00 per day on my rent truck and they had my truck in the shop from 12/3/19- 12/27/19.

They ended up replacing the dual steering damper and I still ended up paying for the part and labor and the dealership ended up paying my $9.00 on the rental, or so they say. I should not have had to pay for anything. This is a brand new truck and even after the work that was done, my truck now steers differently from before. Neither Ford nor the dealership want to be accountable for anything and I regret buying this truck.

At highway speeds, I ran over a rough patch of the road, and the front end of vehicle began to violently shake, causing steering to lock up as though a flat tire. I pulled over to check. No flat tire, nothing wrong. On reflection, it felt as though anti-skid was attempting to compensate for the loss of traction due to a rough patch and was not disengaging until speed was reduced. Definitely a significant issue, I will take it to the dealership, but not sure if they will be able to replicate.

I was on my way to TX from CA, when the truck started wobbling. I had to pull off I-10 for it to stop, and it did it 2 more times, I made it to Blythe CA and went to the Ford dealer, and he said he couldn't fix it. The service manager said he had 2 more trucks doing the same thing - a 2019 F350 dually and a F250, and now it's doing it again! I got an appointment at the Redlands dealer tomorrow. Anybody know if it would void my warranty if I went dual after market stabilizers?

2019 F250 GAS SUPER DUTY, 7650 MILES

Driving on newly paved highway 285, the truck started to shake violently, as if the left front tire went flat, pitching the steering wheel back and forth, with the truck swerving to the left. I could hardly maintain the direction of the vehicle as it veered toward the left lane and into the medium, I was barely able to maneuver the truck back on the road and over to the right side of the road. Stopping and securing the truck, I immediately checked to make sure the wife was okay, and her pets in the back seat were still on their feet. I then noted that my left arm felt as if it was broken from the traumatic shaking of the steering wheel. I believe I might have torn a tendon or ligament, (to be checked by a Dr. for further diagnosis). I then got out of the truck to check on the horses in the trailer to make sure they were on their feet.

After assuring everyone was okay (just a little shook up from that experience), I began to check the vehicle for flat tires, loose wheels, hot brakes, and even under the front end to see if a stabilizer or steering mechanism was loose. NOTHING! I glanced in the bed of the truck and noted that the propane tanks I had strapped in at the tie down next to tailgate, were on their sides near the front of the bed. I checked the tire pressure on the panel display and all tires were inflated per mfg.

We were 20 mile outside of Roswell NM, so we continued on slowly, not knowing what had happened or why. We eventually made it to a truck stop and checked everything again to try to figure out what had happened and why. My wife thought the brakes on the trailer may have locked up, but after checking the tires for flat spots and the calipers for exceptional heat we were still not coming up with any reason for the shuddering of the steering wheel that left me in severe pain in my left hand and arm! We continued to Carlsbad at 50 MPH and were relieved not to have another incident like that.

After hitting small potholes on interstate 75 North bound going approximately 75 MPH, truck went into a death wobble. Planted both feet down and was holding steering wheel with both hands, it was all I could do to keep the truck off a concrete barrier. Got the truck stopped, got out checked and saw nothing wrong. I continued, but at a slower speed.

Update from Aug 25, 2021: I took the truck to my dealer, they replaced the steering damper and that took care of the problem. Tech stated Ford got a bad batch of the damper.

Drive down the 101 in Phoenix at 65mph and passed over an overpass where the concrete isn't perfectly level and front wheels pulled to the left and started bouncing where I almost hit the middle concrete divider. Had to slow down to 45 where it stopped. I asked friends who own F250's and everyone said this is a VERY common problem. I have a 2002 Ford Excursion with 400,000 miles and never had any problems like this. Amazed that Ford would not address this terrible safety issue.
