While driving on I-90 in Ohio at approximately 65mph, I struck a small pothole with the drivers side front tire. The truck began to shake violently. I bumped the brakes and the shaking got even worse and steering was difficult. I took the vehicle to the shoulder and had to come to a complete stop to get it to stop. I drove the truck afterwards approximately 700 miles home. I was careful to avoid bumps or holes, but bridge seams caused a similiar problem many times, although not as violent as the first time. Ford has a service notification that they will replace the steering dampener if you experience this problem, but it did not feel like a dampener problem. I'll allow them to do it, but suspect I'll have more issues.

At speeds above 55 miles an hour when I hit a small bump I would experience death wobble. The vehicle and steering wheel with shake violently and would not stop until I slowed below 30 miles per hour. Here is a link to a video of one of the many instances this happened. Ford did not fix this for over two months because they said it was fixed the first time and then the parts were backordered. Https://youtu.be/8ucegir7T8E the seat will wobble and make a clicking sound

Twice now when we have been on I75 in brandon, fl, we came over a rough patch of road at 60 or 65 mph and the truck began to shake violently making steering extremely difficult and horrifying. Both times we had to pull over across multiple lanes of traffic to the shoulder and come to complete stop. We thought we had lost the tread on a tire or had some other tire issue. We didn't. when we started again, the truck drove fine. It has also become slightly unresponsive going bumps on the highway previously but I hadn't correlated the events. I have now since finding out about the steering dampener issue. Our dealership in ft myers, fl will not fix it until 5/6/21.

The Ford death wobble. Was driving at 65 on I 5 over the altamont and lost control of steering had to hit brakes to slow to 45 to get vehicle back under control. Had several vehicles that had to slam on their brakes almost causing extreme accidents. This is the third time this is happened and it is getting worse and harder to control.

Experienced violent shaking of the vehicle on highway. This has happened 3 times at speeds over 50 mph. We believe this is what is commonly referred to as 'death wobble'. this is a very scary event. I am so surprised that the NHTSA has not forced Ford to do a recall on this issue. There are thousands of complaints on this issue.

Vehicle has a death wobble when I hid small pot holes in the road while travelling at around 70-75 mph. Seems to be getting worse. Today it was so severe I almost crashed into a concrete barrier. I let off the accelerator, braced both feet and it was all I could do to hold on to the steering wheel. The whole truck shook violently. Until I got it to stop.

Driving on the highway at speed of 70mph the vehicle hit a small bump which caused the entire vehicle to start to rattle violently. The vehicle continued to rattle uncontrollably until it was able to decelerate to a speed of approximately 25mph. Previous to this scary experience the vehicle would loose some control and feel when small bumps would bounce the suspension.

Third incident of violent shaking of steering wheel and entire truck while driving approximately 60-70 mph. All three occurrences happened on the highway after going over relatively small bumps in the road, perhaps 2-3 bumps, one right after the other. I was driving the vehicle during 2 of those incidences. My wife was driving during the most recent one yesterday (3/11/2021) while I was in the passenger seat. She no longer wants to drive the truck and does not want me driving it either. I have also had a handful of situations where it will begin just slightly and I was able to immediately slow down and it would go away. However, if there are multiple bumps it seems to happen with almost 100% predictability. I am a prior federal agent and have been trained for tactical driving at various speeds. With that said, the shaking and loss of control experienced on a roughly $75K vehicle that is around a year old is not only ridiculous from a product stand point, but also, and more importantly, in terms of passenger safety. Our children were with us on 2 of these occasions. This is not a simple rattling, or shaking. I have never experienced this in any other vehicle I have driven and it is a violent wobbling of the entire truck, not just the steering wheel. This is not an exaggeration and is a significant problem and also a safety issue for other vehicles nearby. In one incident the driver of another vehicle to my left was glancing over at me as I slowed down during the violent shaking back and forth. The driver also had a very concerned look and expression of panic, undoubtedly wondering why a new truck would be wobbling uncontrollably at high speed down a freeway. Trucks in particular should be able to handle bumps in the road and are generally considered to be more rugged than other vehicles. The fact that the problem seizes after stopping the vehicle is also puzzling.

Unstable driving at 50 mph after small road unevenness. (death wobble) almost hit a vehicle while driving on highway 52 in puerto rico. Took it to the dealer and provided with a fix but the problem persist increasingly. Also, computer code P2074 for a 2019 unit. Oil leaking from the left front side of the upper crankcase. Have an appointment at the dealer on March 08, 2021. Dealer informed, upfront, that there is no permanent solution for the so call death wobble unless Ford issues a re-call and provides it.

While driving on interstate after hitting a bump in the road the steering starts to shake violently making vehicle hard to hold in the road. I had to try to get over into slow lane to slow vehicle down so it would stop shaking. I guess this is known as the Ford death walk.

From the time it was brand new on multiple occasions when driving over a small bump in the road the steering wheel and truck shakes violently especially at highway speeds and will not stop until you brake to almost a complete stop, I took it in to the dealer dealership for the first oil change and voiced my concern and they said Ford was aware of the problem and that they would install an upgraded steering stabilizer. I now have 16,000 miles on my truck with no improvement and when I call the dealership I am told there are no repair parts available.

Experience excessive oscillation in the steering wheel, referred to me at the dealership as the "death wobble". have taken this to dealership 5 times and on the 4 visit I was told that the "steering stabilizer" was bad. They installed a new stabilizer and I assumed it to be fixed. Several months later I experienced the same issue, driving on interstate 40 at aprox. 75 mph and violent shaking of the steering wheel which I had to pull off of the road to stop. This has happen several times since the proposed fix was done. In December I received a letter from Ford customer satisfaction program 20N04 stating an extended warranty on steering linkage "one-time repair program". the last time I took to the dealership they told me that the new stabilizer had been installed and there was no more that knew to do. Part was replaced and it is not fixed!!
