I was traveling on a highway at approximately 70 mph under dry road conditions when I hit a bump and my steering wheel / front wheels started shaking uncontrollably, I had to slow down to 30mph before it would stop. This happened 3 more times on the same day, all after hitting bumps or rough spots on highway. The truck is very hard to control when this happens. I'm concerned for the safety of myself & anyone riding with me especially with winter coming and road conditions worsening. It is currently at the Ford dealership waiting to be fixed. However, with the experience of others I'm not real confident the problem will be resolved.

We were driving down the highway doing roughly 70-75 mph and hit a small bump in the road (almost like a double groove in the pavement). Immediately after we hit the bump, the entire truck began to shake violently almost to the point that it felt as if it was "floating" on the road. The first time it happened we thought we had blown a tire, so we reduced our speed and moved to the shoulder of the road. As it turns out, we had not; we checked the vehicle to see if any of the sensors indicated that anything was wrong. It appeared as if everything was okay so we went back to driving to work. The next day, the very same thing occurred and again, we pulled over. This time, we didn't get out to check the tires but we did run through our sensors but again, everything appeared fine. So, we slowly returned to driving. As soon as we got to work we immediately called the dealership and had them pick the truck up within the next couple of hours. As of right now, the truck is at the dealership. With what little research we have done, it appears that our truck has what is being called the "death wobble".

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. While driving approximately 60 mph over a small uneven portion of road, the front end of the vehicle shook violently. The steering wheel also shook violently and was difficult to maneuver. The contact had to slowly apply the brakes and decelerate to 35 mph for the shaking to stop. The contact called brighton Ford (190 w bromley ln, brighton, co 80601, 303-800-3235) for an appointment; however, the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 5,800.

My truck has the "death wobble" for the second time. It was repaired at 12,000 miles for this problem and is doing it again at 20,000. When I hit a rough place in the road or a bridge joint the steering will start shaking terribly. The only way to stop it is to come to almost a complete stop. This almost killed me Saturday, October 12, 2019. I hit a bridge joint going 58 mph in a 70 mph zone. The vehicle starting shaking so bad I could barely hold it in the lane. I was in the middle lane between two semis with another semi close behind me. I had to slow down so fast the semi behind me locked his trailer brakes and almost hit me. They blocked traffic on the interstate so I could get to the shoulder of the road. This happened 4 times on 10/12/19 and 6 times on 10/13/19 and numerous times before and after those dates. The truck is now in the dealership service department to have the same issue fixed again.

My 2019 F250 lariat has 24300 miles on it. I have been experiencing very loose steering which I thought might be standard on a F250 since this is my first. About two weeks ago I hit a small rough area on highway and the front end began to violently shake forcing be to slow to about 20mph to make it stop. After researching it sounds like this problem is very common on Ford F-250S and Ford has ignored even with the numerous accounts on the internet. This is dangerous as I was in traffic at about 70mph and slowing to 20mph put me in grave risk of an accident not to mention worrying that the front end was about to self distruct. Hopefully with all the complaints about this 'death wobble' on the internet will force you and Ford to do your job and recall the vehicles. I am doing my part in telling everyone I can about the dangers of this vehicle.

Travelling at 65 miles per hour on California state highway 395, my truck passed over a bridge with rough road on the other side when the steering wheel and front tires started to vibrate or wobble out of control. Ford bought it back. Trusted that I would not have the problem again, so bought this 2019. This is dangerous and frustrating. I can't believe the NHTSA hasn't required Ford to fix this problem.

Steering has been slightly shaky over bumps at normal highway speed. Recently truck has began death wobble (steering oscillation) when hitting potholes, bridge joints, and road construction transitions.today in traffic at 50-55 mph, it was severe enough that it almost caused an accident. My truck has approximately 3,000 miles on it. I have already experienced a death wobble while driving at highway speeds and took the truck to my local dealer. They replaced the steering damper under warranty, I received the truck back and took it on the highway, the front end oscillation is still evident while driving at highway speeds. I contacted my dealer and was informed that the tsb for the problem has been updated and that only the steering damper would be replaced again. This does not seem to be a fix to an ongoing issue. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I feel that the vehicle is not safe or enjoyable to drive.

While driving at 65 mph, on an interstate and crossing at bridges with a right or left turn, vehicle began a violent shaking and uncontrollable movement with lose of steering control on the road. This is frequently called a death wobble. It was as if the front end fell off the vehicle unable to steer. I am a retired accident investigator and cannot believe there is not a safety recall do to the number of these occurrences as reported numerous times. If a less experienced driver had this happen it could have very well caused a fatality.
