Front end began shaking violently at 70mph after going over a rough bumpy patch. Pulled over checked lug nuts (all tight). Started driving and happened again at about 60mph, very violent front end movement again with a series of small bumps. Got off turnpike and drove slow with no issues. Was able to recreate the wobble a third time at about 60mph in a safe area. Going straight each time. Vehicle is uncontrollable when it occurs.

I was driving north on US 521 between Sumter and Rembert, South Carolina. Without warning, my vehicle began to violently shake. I held on tightly to the steering wheel as it was almost uncontrollable. It was an extremely scary situation as I could hardly maintain control among passing cars and a narrow road shoulder. I braked slowly, pulled partially off the road (extremely narrow shoulder after curb), and engaged my emergency flashers. As I was getting out my truck, I assumed I had one or both front tires were flat. Upon inspection, none of the tires were damaged/flat. I then returned to the truck and drove very slowly (30 MPH) to the post office in Rembert, SC to inspect underneath the truck to see if anything was loose or broken. Nothing was found during visual inspection. I had approximately 20 miles to go before I could reach my home; thus, I drove slowly. Upon arriving home, I called my local Ford dealership and told them what happened. They stated Ford had issued a memo stating if anyone had this problem to replace the steering damper/stabilizer. I have an appointment for this November 6, 2021. Later that day, I began researching all the Ford and diesel forums to see if anyone had this same experience. I was amazed how many truck owners had the same occurrence while driving and the condition had a name; the DEATH WOBBLE. I have been researching the death wobble for the past few days and every site/forum came to the same conclusion: replacing the steering damper/stabilizer is only a Band-Aid fix. The problem will reoccur within a few months. Most recommended changing to upgraded shocks, dual steering dampers/stabilizers, and a new front end alignment. Ford has only issued a memo, no recall; therefore, if I had not experienced this I would have never known. I tow a 40 ft 5th wheel and I do not know if I can trust this truck. What would have happened if I were towing my camper? Something must be done before someone is injured or dead.

Suspension -??DEATH WOBLE-?? Traveling on the highway 68 mph and had no steering with the steering wheel shaking violently and moved me over one full lane before I could slow down and get it under control again. Cars swerved all around me to avoid crashing and my life along with my passenger and other drivers were all put at risk. This is just crazy! Car just came out of the dealer for service for vibration and all they did was an alignment and charged me and said it all looks good and that shaking/vibration is normal. I lease this car and pay 600 a month and can-??t even drive it. Ford needs to be forced to fix this issue, this is killing people.

I was driving down the highway going 75mph and hit a slight bump on the overpass and my vehicle began to shake very violently. I had to come to a complete stop in the middle of the highway with people flying by me. There was no shoulder for me to pull over and it was by far one of the most terrifying experiences I-??ve been apart of in a vehicle. This is known as the Death Wobble and it-??s a huge safety issue. There was no warning and I had to think quickly on my feet. Luckily my family wasn-??t with me.

Last month we purchased a 2019 F250 SD..with less than 32K miles...(under Warranty). Since the purchase, we have had 3 incidents of the Ford "DEATH WOBBLE", each one increasingly worse than the last. The local Ford dealer finally ( a week to get in ) begrudgingly DROVE & INSPECTED the truck & said "NOTHING WRONG". We asked they check the bushings, balljoints, steering system for Wobble... they said NO SUCH THING...and then aligned the front tires free of charge ? Two days later as I was heading to Texas...I hit a bump in the road and the RIGHT tire lost contact w/the road. Then after it made contact w/road, I had EXTREME jerking Left & Right IN THE STEERING...causing the truck to veer into the left lane ( a 4 lane)...I was within 2' of hitting the concrete divider ! Traffic behind me SLOWED. The WOBBLE is most violent when the Truck hits a defect in the pavement at 45 to 70MPH wherein the wheel is momentarily airborne...THEN on impact w/the road, the Wobble begins..there is NO CONTROL at that point. Once in Texas, I went to an Independent Service Center who had a great deal of experience w/the DEATH WOBBLE...not only verified the problem as the Death Wobble BUT FIXED IT !...to the point my wife will now travel with me...she had refused the trip from AL. to Tx. I did not blame her...it is very scary stuff. Safer on the airline, Covid & all ! PARTS NEEDED: Caster/camber adjusting bushings, Rod Assy-Drag Lind, Tie Rod Ends, 2 Ball Joints, Stabilizer/Track Bar, Tie rod end were all replaced. It drives good, no Death Wobble !!...VERY DISAPPOINTED IN FORD...

When driving the truck and come into contact with rough road, the front wheel/s feel like they are coming off of the truck. The entire truck shakes as well as the steering column vibrating extensively. Since this issue has been recognized a couple months ago as I was driving on a freeway, the local Ford dealership service center is willing to fix the issue but informed me that I would be held responsible for the service costs due to my truck having 49,000 miles on it and no longer covered under the 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty. As I have researched, I have found this to be a common problem with the Ford F250 and is called the "Death Wobble". For an inexperienced driver this could be a major accident waiting to happen!

I have experienced rapid, violent vibrations in the front suspension (aka "death wobble") in my 2019 Ford F-250 numerous times. I have taken it back to the dealership (Loveland Ford) where I purchased and have my vehicle services through. It started with less that 10,000 miles on it. Ford came out with a recall to replace the steering dampener and Ford has replaced it twice, have done an alignment on the vehicle. It seemed to have been better but I don't drive the interstate that often anymore and have since experienced it a number of times. Ford now tells me they have done everything they can but I just experienced it again and I have just under 30,000 miles on this truck. I am sure you are aware of the concerns but if not, just google death wobble, 2019 Ford F-250, I am not the only one. This is very concerning to me because each time I have had to slow down from 75 to 35 to get it to stop and my concern is this is going to cause and accident or vibrate so violently that it will cause a crash.

I have experienced the death wobble several times over the last month. I went to the dealership and asked them to check the suspension (tie rods, shocks, etc) and they said nothing was wrong. From 40-70 mph, if I hit the smallest bump or uneven spot in the road, the entire front end shakes so bad I can hardly stay on the road.

Severe steering wheel oscillation and front end shake after crossing over bridge expansion joints or rough road surface at speeds of 50 to 70 mph. This occurred on highway and caused the truck to begin to drift into adjacent lane. Unable to quickly reduce speed because of semi truck and additional vehicles immediately behind my vehicle -- shaking stopped after reducing speed to approximately 40-45mph. Truck was taken to dealer and track bar was replaced, however problem has not been resolved and reoccurred on the first trip back on the highway. Truck is currently schedule to be serviced again by dealer.

I first noticed the extreme wobble going 65 mph on the highway. I almost lost control of the truck due to the extreme wobbling sensation after hitting a small bump. I have driven over the same bump in other vehicles with no issue whatsoever. I am now noticing that the problem is getting worse happening at speeds as low as 25 mph traveling on regular streets. I scheduled an appointment at the dealer to have this issue addressed they can-??t get me in for almost 3 weeks. This could be a extremely dangerous issue that should have been addressed from the manufacturer. The whole truck shakes and the steering wheel violently moves left and right on its own.
