Steering and suspension were compromised at highway speeds upon hitting a mild change in surface (such as a bridge expansion joint). The front axle bounces and shakes violently and steering is extremely difficult. Reducing speed (below highway speed while on a highway in traffic) eventually ends the violent shaking and bouncing. This problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center nor has it been inspected by others. There were also no warning lamps or messages.

Traveling at highway speeds on the interstate the truck began to shake violently and the steering wheel began shaking so hard that I had difficulty holding onto it. The truck was out of control and I almost went into the guard rail before I could slow down to a stop and bring the truck under control. I made it to my destination and looked at the underside of the truck and could not find anything broken. On the way back home, the truck did the same thing again after hitting a bump and I had to stop again to get the steering wheel to stop shaking - which was very concerning because of the amount of traffic I was in. There was no warning either time that this was going to happen. Going to the dealership tomorrow!

Driving on the highway at speeds above 60 mph and hitting seams or bumps in the road, the front suspension starts to violently shake. It is random when it happens. The shaking causes the whole truck and steering wheel to shake uncontrollably. The only way to stop the shaking is to slow to below 40 mph. This happens at random places and times. There is no warning and the entire truck and steering wheel is fully involved in violent shaking within 3 seconds.

1) Front suspension Death Wobble causing loss of control of truck. 2) Lost control of the vehicle running off the road at 70 mph through a fence. 3) Ford has attempted to repair the truck 3 times, the warranty company claimed there is no probem withe the truck the 4th time and declined repair. 4) Pictures have been supplied to insurance, no other inspections. 5) There are no warnings. The first time the issue appears was about 25K miles. I have had my 2019 Ford F250 truck in the shop 4 times for a total of close to 90 days for the Ford Truck Death Wobble. The last time in the shop MPP, Inc. declined to repair the issue. On 9/20/2023, the truck started the Death Wobble causing loss of control and running through a barbed wire fence causing significant damage. Also, Ford has never been able to get the parts to complete the recall during the times I have had the truck in the shop.

I was driving by myself with my two small dogs on the interstate at approximately 70 mph when I ran over uneven pavement. Without any warning my truck began to shake so violently the dogs became terrified and hid under the seats and I briefly lost control of the vehicle. I was certain I had blown a tire. I decelerated quickly and looked for an opportunity to move out of traffic and pull over. I am incredibly blessed that I did not cause nor was injured in an accident. My truck was completely out of control for approximately 90 seconds. As i decelerated the truck regained drivability and the violent shaking dissipated. I am unsure which actual components may have failed, but my vehicle is available for inspection at any time. My safety, that of many others traveling on I-95, and the safety of my two dogs were put at serious risk of bodily harm or fatality at the complete and total loss of control of the vehicle. The problem has not been reproduced because I had no idea what had caused it. In August of 2023 my vehicle was inspected at a Ford dealership in Brainerd, MN and the only issue that was discovered was a mildly leaking rear pinion seal but the rear differential fluid was still full. The real differential fluid was checked again just prior to Labor Day weekend at Jiffy lube in Aiken, SC and also found to be full. The vehicle has been inspected by a Ford dealership in August, 2023 but not by the original manufacturer, police, or insurance representative. Absolutely zero warnings were ever issued by the Ford onboard computer. This is particularly disturbing as my onboard computer lets me know when even one tire pressure is off. There was zero symptoms of the problem prior to failure other than a typical "rough" Ford ride, which was explained to me when I purchased the vehicle, for cash, in Virginia. I have since researched this phenomenon, dubbed "death wobble" and am furious that Ford currently has knowledge of this and yet refuses to act on it.

At less than 10,000 miles, on a curve, my truck began shacking uncontrollably, putting me in to oncoming traffic and into a ditch. I was able to control it enough and an accident didn-??t occur. I contacted my salesman and he said it was known as the death wobble. He told me to bring it in. I took it in and they explained that they can put a steering damper on it, but it wouldn-??t fix the problem and they needed to replace several parts. I said it-??s under warranty so do it. They explained it wouldn-??t be covered and the only thing Ford would pay for would be the dampener. I told them to do it. At app. 32,000 miles it has happened again. I feel that Ford is not taking responsibility and that it could cost my life, as well as others.

Since purchasing the truck new I have experienced a VIOLENT shaking of the truck after hitting a small (1-2 inch) bump on the freeway. The shaking did not abate until I slowed to about 15 MPH. This has occurred about a dozen times over the course of the last three years. It also occurred while my son (a police sergeant and driving instructor) was towing a boat to the lake, nearly causing an accident. He also owns a 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty but it has never happened while driving his truck, only mine. I have made numerous attempts to get the truck repaired by Ford to no avail. I sincerely believe someone is going to die if this issue is not resolved, I only pray it is not me or one of my family members. For the forthcoming questions I am using the first time it occurred. I don't have a record of every time it occurred.

Experienced the death wobble on the freeway. I was forced to pull over on the shoulder of the freeway. I thought I had a blow out. It scared the heck out of me. Once I reentered the freeway the wobble was gone. Now when I hit rough spots on the road the front end vibrates like it is loose.

On June 5. 2023, My family was on the way to Dallas. In Huntsville, TX, we were driving approximately 68MPH when we hit an small divet in the roadway. The truck then began to shake violently and would not cease until we pulled off the highway to a complete stop. After checking the truck over, no apparent damage had caused the occurence. I had heard previously about a "Death Wobble" and after some online research, determined this is what had occured. We immediately called our local Ford (Gullo Ford in Conroe, TX) dealership to find that there were no "active recalls" but that if it was determined that a part was causing this, they might repair it after a $140 diagnostic fee. we scheduled an appointment and continued on our trip hoping the occurence would not happen again. In the matter of less than an hour, it occured 4 more times and I deteremined that for my safety and my families safety that we would find a local dealership and try to fins another vehicle to complete our trip. I personally did not feel safe driving the vehicle anymore until the problem was fixed. Luckily, the Ford Dealer in Corsicanna ( Brinson Ford) had heard of the issue and was able to put a band-aid fix (free of charge) on the issue but advised it could happen again. I have video of somoe of the occurences that my wife videoed from the back seat. I'm amazed that Ford doesn't have to officially ackowledge this as a safety recall and will be following up with them as they put me, my wife, and my 10 month old baby in danger multiple times. I now am nervous to even drive my vehicle until I have a 3rd party check over the "repair" and determine it is safe to drive. From what i have heard, the part they replaced is just a temporary fix and doesn't truly address the issue at hand. Some mechanics advise re-doing multile suspension and steering components costing upwards of 5k.

I was driving on the highway at about 70 mph when the truck suddenly lost control. I almost crash into the nearest wall. Fortunately I didn-??t, and I managed to break however as I was braking the truck kept shaking. All the tires were inspected and they aren-??t the issue. Something to do with the suspension caused the lost of control.

On 6/4/23 I was on SR 2 in Erie county, Ohio. The speed limit was 70 mph and my cruise control was set at 70 mph & traffic was fairly heavy. I passed over an expansion joint and my steering wheel started shaking violently back and forth and the vehicle was nearly uncontrollable. The other vehicles near me fortunately saw I was having trouble and luckily they were able to steer clear of me. The only way I got it to quit was to veer to the shoulder, break hard and bring it to a complete stop. After gaining my composure I cautiously pulled back on highway with my warning lights on and did 40 mph to the next exit. Slowly made my way back home not knowing if it was going to reoccur. It was amazing that I or anyone near me wasn-??t injured or killed! If my wife would have been driving there is no way she would have been able to control it.

Traveling at between 65 and 70 miles an hour I hit a small bump in the road and the front suspension and steering wheel started to violently shake. Pulling me all over the road and almost off the road. Fortunately I was able to avoid other drivers. And keep it out of the ditch. I am now terrified to drive my truck. After speaking with the dealer they will repair. Using new parts identical to the ones that failed. With no guarantee that it would not happen again in the future. I feel my truck is completely unsafe to drive. Especially when there's zero warning that this could happen again in the future. Luckily no one was hurt and I avoided barely hitting other cars on the highway.
