Driving down a straight one lane service road at about 50-55 miles per hour I experienced a violent wobble at the front end that forced me to grab the steering wheel tight with both hands and slow down to gain control of the vehicle which feels like it begins to bounce and drift sideways if I didn't. I'm afraid to hit even the slightest of bumps or pot holes now and even slow down in areas I know may have some. But what worries me the most is causing and accident or even worse letting my family use the vehicle and something happening to them as the problem seems to occur more and more frequently

Mid to high speeds if I hit any sort of bump or any sort of hole in the road the front end starts to vibrate severely and steering wheel vibrates and shakes and I have to immediately decelerate. It is exactly what I see other Ford users describing online as the death wobble.

I had 18000 miles on my new truck when the death wobble started. I sent the truck to natchez Ford dealership 2 times. The first time they replace the drag link and did a alignment. Took it back at 22000 mile the truck stayed at the dealer for 3 weeks waiting on so upgrade damper. Drove the truck for 300 miles still wobble but not like before. Parts are not what's need to fix the problem. People at dealership has a fix for the issue but its is not cover under warranty

I am having some type of severe wobble steering/suspensions issue where it feels as if I have a flat tire on the front of the truck. The first time this happened it was so severe it cracked the windshield. The first occurrence I tried slowing down from 70 to get it to stop as I thought it was a flat tire. Once I slowed down to about 25 it stopped. The second time this happened I tried to give it about 30-45 seconds to see if it would stop but it didn't and progressively got worse. The third time this happened I got a bit more creative and tried to accelerate through this going up to 85 and that did not work so again got it to stop by reducing speed to 20-25. This is unsafe to the point where I am afraid to drive the vehicle on the highway in heavy traffic or on a highway without shoulders as if this occurs I may have to slow down to 20-25 mph to get this to stop. This occurred on the highway (I-75 in fl) on 3 separate occasions and experienced the same problem 3 times over the period of 30 days. The tire psi was about 65-70 on all occurrences with dealer inspected "good tire tread". all 3 were routine drives to work and all occurred at the same speed of 70 mph. All of them were cruising (not accelerating or decelerating) and in 6th gear in optimal driving conditions. This happened twice with no load and once with a bumper pull trailer (tongue weight of about 350-500 lbs, load weight of trailer+load around 5,000 lbs). My truck has only been serviced by Ford and at the dealership where it was purchased. It was purchased new with only 13 miles when sold. I now have about 25,000 miles on the vehicle. The truck has 0 aftermarket parts or equipment and is 100% stock and has the original tires as well (Continental w/kevlar).

I was driving down interstate at 70 mph. The truck began to shake uncontrollably. I had to stop each time to resolve the issue. The truck had less than 6000 miles on it with no modifications. Extremely dangerous. This will kill someone. I usually use the truck to tow a 7000lb rv and cant imagine what would happen if I had been towing at the time. I contacted my local Ford dealer and they acted as if it wasn't a big deal. This happened 3 times within a 20 mile distance. I was terrified to continue with my trip and was nervous the entire trip. Please address this. I hear it is a common problem.

Me and my wife were driving down the highway 70-80 mph, and the truck began to wobble side to side, and I thought it was a flat tire. We slowed down to make sure everything was ok, and nothing was wrong. I started back on the highway, and about 10 minutes later we hit a bump going roughly 75 mph, and the truck again started wobbling, I felt like I had no control of the vehicle. I just purchased this truck with 18,862 miles on it, and currently there is 19,541 miles on the odometer. I am going to take it to the dealership because I still have the manufacture warranty on the vehicle, but I feel very intimidated to drive it, and my wife refuses to drive the truck after this incident. All I have been able to see is that this is a result of the Ford "death wobble". I do not know what components of the vehicle are causing this, but it is very frustrating to spend the amount of money that we did, only to find it being a possible death trap.

Driving at 45 mph and hit change in pavement from concrete to raised asphalt and front end/steering began to shake violently and did not stop until reached 20 mph. Has happened again 3 more times at speeds around 70 mph on paved 3 lane highway with no control until reaching speed of 20 mph extremely hard to control vehicle and very very dangerous truck has under 30,000 miles on it. In dealership service department currently waiting to pick it up to find out what parts they have replaced. This is a very dangerous problem that Ford needs to correct before people are hurt or killed

Driving down the highway at 70mph, I hit a rough patch on highway and suddenly the steering wheel started vibrating vigorously, whole truck was shaking and pulling to the left. I struggled to control it and began to slow down, at around 45-50mph the shaking stopped and regained control of the steering. Truck continue to have excessive shaking when hitting small bumps on highway. This happened on the day I picked up the used truck from the dealership as I was driving home, truck approximately 37,700 miles. The next day on my way to work, I hit a small bump on the highway going 72mph and steering wheel began vibrating, but was not a vigorous as day prior.

I believe I have experienced the known 'death wobble'. when going 65 mph or more and hit a bump with a turn I'd lose control and my truck would feel like my front tires had blown or shocks had failed. I'd slow down and pull over and the truck looked fine. At lower speeds it does not seem to happen. I've experienced it twice now. All Ford has said is I need a new steering stabilizer, that is on back order. They claim that will ' fix ' the problem.
