I was driving on the hwy at about 70mph. Truck transitioned from road to new road construction and truck immediately started experiencing tire wobble in both front wheels with steering wheel violently shaking and spinning left to right and vice versa. This happened right about 20000 miles on a 2019 Ford F-250 FX4. And since that initial incident it's been happening daily for almost 2 weeks. Finally at the dealership for repair steering damper? I hope that cures the problem. It wanted to report problem. Very dangerous situation and should be a recall and use a heavy duty stabilizer.

When driving at highway speeds, violent shaking happens after hitting bumps. The only way to regain control is to reduce speed. We have a fleet which includes 46 new F250's and F350's. were are experiencing this issue with 5 trucks so far. All issues are starting between 8000 and 15000 miles.

Our company vehicle (with 43K miles on it) steering wheel shakes and entire truck wobbles on the freeway. It is referred to online as the Ford death wobble. If Ford does not take responsibility as they should we need to know what needs to be done to fix this common Ford issue. This began happening in late August and has happened several times since.

The approximate failure mileage was 11,000.

So I have had an issue with the front end of my 2019 Ford since I bought it. I told them on April 26th that it seemed to be pulling and they checked the alignment and said everything was okay and within specs. I didn't have another problem until September when it got really bad and anytime I went over a uneven patch or a change in road material it would jerk me out of my lane. I took it to the quick lane service department in bakersfield on September 7th, they told me it was the drag link, that it had broken and they had replaced it. It drove okay for a few weeks and then on September 30th as I was going over a bridge my truck started to do the death wobble, my steering wheel was shaking and the front end of the truck was bouncing. I had to slow down to get the truck under control and I was only doing 45 originally. I took it to Ford and they said it was the steering damper and they replaced it and that should fix the problem. Well less then three weeks later its still doing it just not as sever. I called Ford and set up an appointment and explained it was happening again only to get my appointment changed due to a meeting and a promise that the service manager would call back. Never got the call and now im paying for a truck that is just sitting in my front yard because its unsafe to drive.

We were driving down the highway doing roughly 70-75 mph and hit a small bump in the road (almost like a double groove in the pavement). Immediately after we hit the bump, the entire truck began to shake violently almost to the point that it felt as if it was "floating" on the road. The first time it happened we thought we had blown a tire, so we reduced our speed and moved to the shoulder of the road. As it turns out, we had not; we checked the vehicle to see if any of the sensors indicated that anything was wrong. It appeared as if everything was okay so we went back to driving to work. The next day, the very same thing occurred and again, we pulled over. This time, we didn't get out to check the tires but we did run through our sensors but again, everything appeared fine. So, we slowly returned to driving. As soon as we got to work we immediately called the dealership and had them pick the truck up within the next couple of hours. As of right now, the truck is at the dealership. With what little research we have done, it appears that our truck has what is being called the "death wobble".

Truck experiences violent shaking of the steering wheel (death wobble) at highway speeds. This happens loaded or unloaded and with or without towing a trailer. Repairs were made but issue still present. Truck at dealer again for more repairs. This is a major safety issue and has caused my vehicle to be in two near accidents. My wife and kids will not ride in this vehicle.

21,997 miles, driving on highway at 62 mph. Hit a bump and experienced death wobble. Slowed to 20 mph before truck drove out of it. Previously owned a 2017 350 that did the same thing at 20K miles. Ford bought it back. Trusted that I would not have the problem again, so bought this 2019. This is dangerous and frustrating. I can't believe the NHTSA hasn't required Ford to fix this problem.

Steering has been slightly shaky over bumps at normal highway speed. Recently truck has began death wobble (steering oscillation) when hitting potholes, bridge joints, and road construction transitions.today in traffic at 50-55 mph, it was severe enough that it almost caused an accident. High traffic area and braking was slow due to traction loss during oscillation.

My truck has approximately 3,000 miles on it. I have already experienced a death wobble while driving at highway speeds and took the truck to my local dealer. They replaced the steering damper under warranty, I received the truck back and took it on the highway, the front end oscillation is still evident while driving at highway speeds. I contacted my dealer and was informed that the tsb for the problem has been updated and that only the steering damper would be replaced again. This does not seem to be a fix to an ongoing issue. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I feel that the vehicle is not safe or enjoyable to drive.

While driving at 65 mph, on an interstate and crossing at bridges with a right or left turn, vehicle began a violent shaking and uncontrollable movement with lose of steering control on the road. This is frequently called a death wobble. It was as if the front end fell off the vehicle unable to steer. I am a retired accident investigator and cannot believe there is not a safety recall do to the number of these occurrences as reported numerous times. If a less experienced driver had this happen it could have very well caused a fatality.

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-250. While traveling 80 mph on an overpass of a highway the vehicle suddenly started shaking and experienced the "death wobble". the vehicle shook violently for about a quarter of a mile while the contact struggled to maintain control of the vehicle. The contact tried shifting into neutral and braking to slow down. The contact was finally able to pull off the road to the shoulder. The vehicle did not stop shaking until it came to a complete stop. Corwin Ford nampa (5707 E gate blvd, nampa, id 83687, (208) 475-1110) stated that the contact should be able to drive over to the dealer. The contact refused to drive the vehicle and had it towed to the dealer using the Ford roadside assistance program. The manufacturer had not been contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 20,500. The consumer stated the dealer replaced the steering dampener and the problem happened a 2nd time.
