First, Ford dealership don't even have a clue that the Trailer TPMS is even available. I talk to the Service Manager.

For over 6 months I had to deal with Ford over the Travel Trailer TPMS. If you get the Trailer Tire Status Monitor Capability not detected take it to Ford and tell them, you need the TPMS sensors calibrated.

After they tell you that they can't turn them on, schedule a service appointment to have them "fix" it. They may try to deter you from this by saying it's going to cost you $200-$400.

In 2022 the Ford F250 computer installed was left over 2021 computers. 2022 was the first year the F250 came with the Blind Spot Monitor. These sensors interfere with the signal from the TPMS supposedly. The main issue is that the computer wasn't updated for the trailer TPMS.

Trucks computer has to be programmed to see this option - this is the first year it has the pressure and tire temperature.

I have BLIS - blind spot monitoring, this is the first year the F250 has it. It has been a pain as it interferes with the 3rd brake light / bar on my truck cab & travel trailer. I specifically bought this truck with the purpose of towing a travel trailer. This truck has the capability of monitoring the travel trailer tires pressure & temperature with an owner installed package that includes a rear back up camera. When everything is connected, I get the error message "Trailer Tire Status Monitor Capability Not Detected".

Ford currently has my truck as I've exhausted all the excuses they gave me - we don't service owner installed options, whoever installed the TPMS sensors didn't install them properly, didn't activate them properly, they don't work on "ST" tires, etc. 9 months of finger pointing and excuses. Dropped my truck off at the dealership and they verified everything was/in working correctly but the Truck's computer isn't accepting the information correctly. No fix known - dealership still has truck / trailer.
