The contact owns a 2001 Ford F-350. While driving various speeds, the windshield wipers independently failed to function. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the wiper motor failed and needed to be replaced. The contact took the vehicle to lithia Ford (2833 washburn way, klamath falls, or 97601, phone: (541) 205-4501), but it was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 01V258000 (visibility). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 154,000.
