My 2001 Ford F-350 was destroyed in a fire. The unit spontaneously combusted at 1 am after being parked for over 12 hours. The unit was a total loss. The vehicle was parked at an employees home, which was also damaged. When I originally complained to Ford about the speed control recall, they claimed that it did not include my vehicle. I recently discovered that this vehicle has been recalled for this problem. The insurance settlement was woefully inadequate, causing a 30K000 out of pocket expense to replace the truck. No compensation was offered from Ford.
