On May 13, 2014, a recall letter was received from Ford. Ref. No. 09S09-speed control deactivation fire. I called sonora Ford to schedule an appointment to repair the risk. According to [xxx] in the service department parts were on back order. He took my contact information and advised he would contact me in about a week when parts arrived. After no returned call I contacted both sonora Ford and Ford Motor Company customer relations center at 1-866-436-7332 & 1-800-392-3673. They advised parts were still 7 to 10 days out. Ford refused to have the switch removed or the circuit disconnected to prevent a fire until parts arrived when asked. With a known fire risk I am concerned more could be done by Ford to address this issue while parts are not available. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
