I purchased my new 2006 Ford F350 King Ranch Truck and it cost me $50,000. I was so happy until the Transmission went out in it at 15,000 miles. I wasn't in a town. I was coming home from my daughters ranch. This was very scary. I took it in and Ford fixed it. It went out again in Tucson when I was driving in town. I took it in again and they fixed it. Then it was test drove on 6-18-07 and Ford said the transmission was working good and three days later it went out again. It has been down for 29 days. They fixed it again. This last time I was with my 72 year old mother and my 3 year old grandson up in Mt. Lemon. It was 103 degrees out. My cell phone would not work. I was scared for me and for my family. Ford was communicating with me and after I sent Ford a letter on June 26th, 2007 I have not heard one word from them. Ford knows I have a Lemon Truck and will not make it right. I have contacted the BBB Auto Line and trying to get Ford to give me my money back and I will go buy a Chevy. It is one thing not to honor the purchase of the truck, but too not even communicate with me makes me very angry.
I now have a truck I am too scared to use. I wanted to go see my son in the Navy in Virginia in September, but I am afraid to drive the truck across the states. I am afraid I will get stranded someplace and have no money to fly home and then how do I get my truck back home. The truck is not doing what I intended it to do. I cannot pull horses for fear the horses and I will be stranded. And what about my safety when my cell phone does not work in certain areas and I have to walk to get help. I am a single older woman. I am very unhappy with the way Ford is handling this case and I am a Ford person. I have owned many Fords. The way Ford has treated me with my new vehicle makes me never want to buy one again and I am telling everyone not to buy a Ford Truck. People are telling me that 2004, 2005, and 2006 there were a lot of Ford Transmission problems. This $50,000 truck is worthless to me and I wish I could get my money back.

Ford service can't even explain this problem and how it could have happened. Also the transmission now is torn up and needs replaced possible due to snow plowing for 2nd season even though we have the plow prep package.I've had my truck for 20 months and this is one of many problems I've had head gaskets blown, worn out wire harness, Block heater was replaced, high pressure oil pump replaced, block heater cord replaced,3 thermostats and 2 interior panels replaced. We're looking into warranty fraud at this time with Ford Service.
