F-350 XLT

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,500 miles

While driving on an incline, the truck loses power, chugs, and sounds like a jake-brake on a semi. If you give it a ton of gas, it will finally get enough speed to stop the chugging.

This truck has been taken into the repair shop 4 times. The first three times they thought they had it fixed, said there was nothing wrong, etc. The fourth time they reprogrammed it. It took 10 times to reprogram and the mechanics said it was fixed. But, it's still not. Now, the mechanics say they can't do anything until they get word from the manufacturer and they don't know what to do to fix it. Some of the reprogramming modules they have only work on 75% of trucks. They have had 27 F350s from this dealership that have this same problem, 20 have been fixed; I'm one of the lucky ones who are the 7.
