On Oct 14, 2017 my 2016 Ford F350 stopped on me on I-95. The truck was taken to a Ford service center to be repaired. I was told by the service center manager that Ford engineers denied my claim for repair because of contaminated fuel cause the problem. The first thing the service center checked after receiving the truck was the fuel and they found no contamination. Ford engineering department stating contamination was the cause of the problem and denied the authorization to repair the truck. The truck has about 35,000 miles and is still under warranty. The damage to the truck is not negligent on my part and should be covered by Ford under the warranty . Now I am told it will cost $8000.00 to repair the truck. Next, I filed a claim under my insurance and they sent someone to check the truck and according to the report from my insurance company the truck did not have contaminated fuel but had internal problems. The high pressure fuel pump was the cause. Ford so far have fail to honor the warranty. My next step is to high a lawyer. I was told my some mechanics that work for Ford is having problems with the high pressure fuel pump but has not acknowledge they have a problem. If anyone has had the same problem or suggestions please contact me at wkvmeso@yahoo.com.
