My 2018 F350 FX4 has just over 19k miles and I had a dangerous case of the Death Wobble. At 75 MPH on a busy highway, the truck started shaking violently. The steering wheel was shaking so bad I couldn't hold it steady. I couldn't steer it either so I had to get on the brakes. I almost got rear ended by the vehicle behind me since we were going 75 in the fast lane and I had to slam on the brakes down to about 45 before the Death Wobble stopped.
I took the truck to Ford and they said it was a bad stabilizer. They told me they have seen many Super Duty 4x4 trucks with this problem. They put on a new aftermarket stabilizer (because the FORD stabilizer was on back order) and it fixed nothing. Within 100 miles it happened again, both times I was almost rear-ended because I had to slam on the brakes to get it under control.
DON"T BUY A FORD SUPER DUTY 4X4. They are DANGEROUS and FORD can't fix it either.

I've got a 2018 F350 FX4 with front suspension design problems which causes The DEATH WOBBLE. The Death Wobble is very DANGEROUS! It causes the truck to shake violently, causing a loss of control and loss of steering. The only way to stop the wobble is to hit the brakes and slow down in your lane (since you can't steer). Ford has a serious problem on their hands but they are avoiding admitting it. The dealer told me this is a common issue on these trucks over the last few years. They tried to fix my truck with a new stabilizer shock but to no avail.
This is my third F350 4x4. The first two were a 1999 and a 2000 with a combined 600,000 miles and neither of the previous models had this problem, even though they too had straight front axles.
It's a very dangerous problem with the new Super Duties. Don't buy one.

My 2018 F350 FX4 has the "Death Wobble" problem. It's a very dangerous loss of control issue caused when the front wheels start shaking violently, jerking the steering wheel side to side so rapidly you can't hold onto it. You can't steer off the road to safety. All you can do is hit the breaks.
I almost have been in 3 wrecks due to this issue. Each time I was going over 55 mph. It also happened at 70 mph, and 75 mph, and every time I was in the fast lane in traffic. All I could do was hope I didn't get rear-ended. I took the truck to Ford and they said it was the stabilizer shock. They told me this was a common issue on these trucks and that the Ford part was on a 6-8 week back order, so they wanted to install an aftermarket part. I said OK. Once I got the truck back, it started doing it again within the first 100 miles. VERY UNSAFE DANGEROUS issue with these Super Duty trucks. Don't buy one.

Was going down Interstate 80 at 60mph, hit a small bump where the bridge and blacktop meet. Vehicle front end started to shake violently, it took all my strength to hold on to wheel (I am not a small guy to give you a hint to how violent this was). Luckily there were no other cars or trucks near me as this would have turned out badly because the vehicle was all over the road. Shaking did not stop until I slowed to 20mph.
Truck only has 17,200 miles on it. Ford was 5 miles away, slowly drove it there and was told that it happens sometimes. Can you F----- believe that?
I told them this is going to kill someone. They seemed like they where trying to cover things up, but don't worry everything is under warranty. Had the truck back 5 days and now when you hit 65mph front end has a wobble. Took it back to Ford, they now have it again. This would be my work truck so will be out of work again. NEW TRUCK ha.
So far they have replaced caster/camber bush x2, track bar bushing x1, rod assembly drag link that was worn. That is all they have on my receipt but the service agent had told me on phone there was more, not sure why it is not on receipt. Will let you know with a follow up soon.

Driving on expressway and the vehicle started shaking. I thought I had a flat tire so I pulled over to the left hand side of the highway since I was in the far left-hand lane. I was almost killed by a Semi-Truck who was following behind me. I did not know what the issue was but since January the Truck kept doing the same thing when I hit a bump on the highway. I only took action when my friend drove my truck and said his truck was doing the exact same thing. I researched on google and saw a video of the death wobble. I do have the extended warranty.. I was asking Auto Nation Ford for a rental car but they refused. The company showed no compassion for my issue.
