The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-350. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The contact coasted to the roadside and replaced the fuel filters. The vehicle started but remained idling without the proper RPM. The contact was able to get the vehicle to drive at slower speeds only. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel return line was malfunctioning due to the high-pressure fuel pump failure. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The approximate failure mileage was 58,000.
