F-450 Superduty

  • Automatic transmission
  • 120,000 miles

The engine on this ford f450 locked up on state route 238 and almost cause a fatality. Fortunately, we were able to coast over to our farm road.

Had the truck towed to the dealer. The dealer said that this was the worst case they have ever seen for a truck engine locking up and blowing. They could not even turn the engine over with a pry bar. Dealer in Casa Grande Az never offered to help get resolution from Ford, just gave quote for a new engine. My wife has been calling the customer care at Ford for a week and we have not gotten a reply. The dealer said that they now received our complaints and put a request to see what Ford would cover. Still no response from anyone in over a week.

Here is the big kicker. F450's should be Ford tough and last at least 500k is what they say. Why only 100k and they say Oh Well. Does that mean their new trucks are 65,000 for only 100k miles? I think we are getting the run around and ripped off.
