Fiesta 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission

I first reported this to the ford dealer here where I bought the car, sometime in March 2014. While driving at around 90-100kph, and when brakes are applied, the wheels vibrate when the speed goes down to 80kph. The service technician and service supervisor said that this was normal because it has an ABS. I told them that if the problem persists even beyond the warranty period, my claim should be honored. Today, June 4, I brought it back because the problem was still there. The reason given this time is that the brake pads are down to 6.5mm and the rotor discs need to be refaced. I had other cars with ABS before and even when brake pads get thin and rotor discs need refacing, I never experienced any vibration on the wheels when brakes are applied. I am not sure if this is related to my warranty claim before the 10000 km mark, when they had to replace the rack and pinion and intermediate shaft due to knocking sound in the front suspension.

I am overall a very dissatisfied customer. I do not like the performance of this at all.
