Brake peddle started to feel soft. Performed front brake job. Peddle still felt soft. Took to local mechanic said back breaks needed replacing along with some other items. Took vehicle to second mechanic for second opinion. At that time they replaced brake master cylinder all rear brake components, brake fluid flush and after completing that work mechanic came to us and said this vehicle will be needing a whole new ABS system and that cannot be done because Ford and other companies stopped making the parts to complete the job. He then said the Venice is unsafe to drive and can not be fixed due to lack of parts.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fiesta. While driving at any speed, the brakes squeaked, the steering lost power, and the check engine indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to friendly Kia (877-544-6719, located at 5819 us-19, new port richey, fl 34652) where it was determined that the failure was due to humidity. The vehicle was then taken to Ford of port richey (727-233-7143, located at 10715 us-19, port richey, fl 34668) where it was diagnosed that the brakes, transmission, and battery needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000.

I leased and then purchased my vehicle brand new 8 years ago. At around 3,000 miles, I began having braking issues. I would go to break and the pedal would almost touch the floor before the vehicle would stop. It almost caused me to get into an accident so I took it immediately to the dealership. It took me 3 separate visits to get it properly diagnosed and repaired by Ford. Turned out, the vehicle had a failed master cylinder and had to have a new one installed. Now, 7 years and about 84K miles later, I am having the same issue with the brakes. I am unable to safely stop the car, especially at high speeds. I have always maintained my vehicle well. I took it to two different mechanics that stated the master cylinder once again needs to be replaced but stated it is incredible rare for this to fail in any vehicle. They were both surprised that it had been replaced once before after so few miles. This is a major safety issue and has been reoccurring on the vehicle. I called Ford directly and they stated until the part is officially recalled, they are offering not concession or warranty to repair the part. This part rarely fails in vehicles and last typically at least 125K miles. I will now have had two in less than 87K miles. It is not a repair you can avoid fixing either as it will not allow the vehicle to safely stop once the issue begins.

My husband and I bought a car from them. It is in my husbands name. My husband is not from this country and doesn't know what things mean in their context. This car was sold to us as is with a branded title. We accepted that. However, the car was sold to us with broken parts and the repairs that were done to it were not done to standard oem specifications. The car was sold to us with a broken front axel. This is a major safety issue because had this completely broken going down the road and we were in a wreck that would have been bad. The car is not fixed at this time and they refuse to fix it due to the papers that were signed by my husband that of which I am sure he didn't know what he was signing being someone who has never bought a car before. I do T feel that this car lot should be allowed to sell the car in this condition even as is. Please let me know if we have any rights here. Thank you!

There was a transmission failure, electrical problems, and brake problems. The engine dies while driving. Although seven years old, it has less than 40,000 miles on it from it being worked on constantly. It is useless as a vehicle.

From a stand still up until speed, every gear shift is meet with a shudder and feels like it slips while the transmission chages gear. Just recently the car started to jerk and stutter and I barely made it home. The rpms rise and dip and is undriveable. It has been brought in for transmission module reprogramming and inspection of transmission fluids. I thought in the past that the shaking and stuttering was normal, according to Ford that is normal. It's not that when my car started jerking and sputtering that I realize something is very wrong.Ford did give me an extended warranty for up to 70K miles. Also, I notice that when the surface is wet and I break gradually on a wet surface ie, painted street dividers, painted street signs or oil, ABS will break the vehicle, the vehicle will lock up causing it to slide and then when I get on the gas pedal the car will be unresponsive to my gas pedal input. Basically, I wouldn't be able to get out of hands way because the cars power to move for 2-3seconds is non existent.

Currently driving my car with a bad clutch assembly because the part is on back order because of a customer satisfaction bulletin from Ford Motor Company. Driving today and the vehicle in front of me came to an abrupt stop. I came within an inch of rear ending the vehicle because when I put my brakes on my cars the clutch would not do downshift to stop my car. Had to steer to the right onto curb to avoid hitting the car in front of me, came within an inch of hitting the car. The dealer service department told me putting in a new clutch will not fix the problem because they are putting in the same defective part. This is my second clutch assembly within 7,000 miles.

Car cannot be driven in snow. If trying to start from a complete stop in 1" of snow, the traction control will cut power to the wheels, leaving you stuck in place. This is very dangerous as it can leave the driver stuck in the middle of an intersection as happened to me today. Ford has since added a way to disable the traction control, but this model year is extremely dangerous in the snow.

Driving on the freeway going normal speeds the "transmission failure" message popped up on my dash and the car started viscously jerking. The car had trouble stopping as if the brakes couldn't function properly cause the transmission was out. My car would fiercely jerk forward when I was coming to a stop that I then noticed I had to stop further back than normal in fear of the car jerking forward to hard and hitting the car in front of me. When I finally parked and was ready to go to a well lit area the car started up perfectly normal and the transmission failure message was gone. Took it to Ford and they couldn't understand the severity of the issue due to the fact that the car basically "fixed itself." I then asked them if it is going to take someone getting into an accident for them to recall the transmission on this car and they only told me "there's nothing they can do about it". they saw an issue and told me it would be approx. 3 thousand dollars to fix the car is only 2 years old. Ford also told me the car isn't safe for me to drive on the road. Yet they don't see that as a reason to not recall the cars to get it fixed since I'm positive my car isn't the only one that has done this. I guess myself almost getting into and accident and causing injury to myself and others is not a good enough reason for them.
