I frequently receive a "malfunction error" that appears and disappears and reappears. I took it to the shop paid $200 for them to hook up their reader and tell me it is a loose wire between the pedal and computer. It was at that point that they also told me both the pedal and computer are covered under warranty but no they input wires themselves. It is going to cost an additional $800 to fix it oh and it is only labor. What happens if I don't fix it - the car might just stall in the middle of the road - no big deal. Screw you FORD!
