The contact owns a 2012 Ford Fiesta. The contact stated that the hood latch ajar light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they performed the repair for NHTSA campaign number: 15V246000 (latches/locks/linkages). The dealer stated that the hood would not be covered under the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 97,000.
