Car was in motion on the freeway passenger side door flew open and would not stay shut. Pulled over checked incident door would not close at all. Inside lights would not shut off car alarm will not activate. Dealership (Ford) wants to charge for another 218$ for replacement part plus inspection fee. So car passenger door is now tied with rope to hold shut.fuse was pulled for lights inside(for batteries sake) passengers now have to climb through driver side of car.

Just got done putting bags in my back seat through the rear passenger door. I closed the door and then got in my car and left my house. I turned left out of my neighborhood and the rear passenger door just flew open. I got out to investigate and my door would not shut. I tried over and over again. The latch moved freely at every positron. It is broken internally in the latch or something. This is a very dangerous situation to be in. I have two children in car seats. What if they were in the back seat. This seems to be a issue with these cars and if needs to be addressed before someone gets seriously hurt or even killed.

Today after loading my son into his car seat (luckily I had him secured in the middle of the backseat) I tried to close the rear passenger side door and it would not latch. I tried several times closing and setting the locks, and even setting the child lock to no avail. I had to resort to running bungie cords through the door handle till I could get to the dealership. At least they owned up to it being a warranty issue but maybe they should look into all of the door latches before I get it back.

The door latch for my passenger door refuses to close. The door swings freely and cannot latch to the car. My passenger almost fell out of the car. Very dangerous and scary situation trying to drive. This is the second time this has happened the first incident was a rear passenger door not latching. The door latch needs to be recalled.

Driving home from work dash indicator warned passenger rear side door was not latched (came open). Stopped and was unable to get door to latch - tied a strap to it to hold it shut. This is the second incident of latch not holding door closed on this Fiesta. Ford dealership, energy country in port arthur, tx, replaced passenger door latch when it did the same thing. Very dangerous and getting rid of this vehicle asap.

I got into my parked car and the "back passenger door open" warning light went on. I went to close it and it would not close--the catch mechanism would not catch. I took the car to the dealership and they replaced the door. Approximately one month later I had the exact same problem with the front passenger door.

My child went to get into the car this morning and the rear passenger door would not latch. As my only transportation, I had to tie the door shut just to Transport my kids and the door is still not completely shut. This is so unsafe for people that this should be recalled immediately.

Rear passenger door latch assembly has broken, the door will not catch and stay closed. After opening the door to get our two year old grand daughter out of the car the door would not re latch. What if this would have allowed the door to come open when driving?

I was driving to work on the freeway and the light came on for my door being open. I pulled over and both my passenger front and back doors were open. When I tried to close them they would not close. Going to the dealership to see what they can do. Ford needs to fix this problem. I could have gotten seriously hurt.

While driving at about 20mph and braking lightly, the rear drivers side door swung open. After stopping I attempted to secure the door but the door would not latch. The door when shut will not stay secured and will swing open. The latch/locking mechanism malfunctioned. I inspected the latch and all parts seem to be there but the latch that catches on the bolt does not lock in place.

I had just left my home with my wife and child. As we drove up the block, I noticed the light was on indicating a door was open. My wife pushed on her door to check and it was not latched. She tried to pull the door closed again and it would not latch. I had to bring the car back home and secure the door with a bungee cord the car is going to the dealer this morning.

Vehicle parked in driveway. Opened rear passenger side door and it bounced open. Had to use a ratchet secured to opposite door for a few days while part came in at dealer. Was repaired under factory warranty. Less than month later, same thing on front passenger door. Factory warranty expired, but covered under pre owned Ford certified warranty except this was $100. Deductible I had to pay. This is safety related and should be fully covered with no deductible.

Right rear door will no longer latch. The vehicle is used to commute myself to work so the door is hardly ever used. I pulled a bag from the rear seat and went to shut the door and it popped back open. Manual manipulation of the latch indicates that the latch fails to shut under any circumstances.

When exiting the vehicle the right rear passenger door would not stay closed. Door had to be tied closed to get it to the dealer for repairs. The dealer has had it all day and states it is a known problem and it can take up to 30 days to repair due to limited parts availability. Dealer also states they cannot release the vehicle back to me as it is a safety problem.
